sata hdd installation

hei guys,

i'm not sure if anyone has experience this before. okay i'm running two sata hdd on my rig. 80gb and 320gb. so the 80gb runs on the sata1 port while 320gb sits on the sata2 while sata3 is my dvd writer.

what happens is after installation, the two partion of my 80gb turns into the last two drive H and I, which my 320gb with 4 partition become C,D,E,F. the most funny thing is, when windows xp is installed, it ran into driver H, which is the main partition of the 80gb.

my problem, which i find pretty peculiar is, all my hdd are under the removable disk list. that means that i can remove both my 80gb and 320gb on the hotswap option in windows as a removable disk.

my window's started to hang on startup after loading everything and while i open window's explorer to browse my files, and things sort of stopped after i remove the 320gb hdd out. any idea on why is this happening? anything wrong that i set at the mobo that causes this to happen?

thanks in advance to those who read and gave some pointers to me. thanks.
