Hi Folks,

Nowadays, there are quite a number of reputable universities offer online MBA, like USM, UNITAR, OUM etc.

Do you think online MBA is a trend now? How do you find the experience of getting an MBA via online mode vs those blended or conventional?

Certainly it requires a lots of discipline and hard work.

*i am currently enrolling in UNITAR MBA online for only 10k! I find the online platform used (Microsoft Team) is very user friendly.

A year or Two as a Teacher

Hi I am recently planning to switch my field from corporate HR to education line, being a teacher in international school, maybe for a year or 2. I gotten the offer already.

But the sacrifices I would be facing is a pay cut of 1.3k in basic if I switch to edu line considered like a fresh start in contrary to my 3 years experience in HR.

What do you think? would it kind of like slow down my career ladder in corporate if i take that switch? Hmm.. part of the switch is also staying near to my family in hometown.

Got an offer in Makati, Philipines

Hi

I recently get an offer based in Makati. It is a startup online gaming company but is expanding very fast. They require mandarin and english speaker for most of the jobs hence targeting Malaysian.

Details: Basic might be USD 2000 (TBC), got accomodation, meal allowance, 2 return flight tickets home, 28 days AL but got to work in public holidays, meaning only got weekends off since working hours is from 10am to 8pm Mon to Fri.

I am still in dilemma coz never step foot into Manila yet, anyone who has worked in Makati before?

I know someone told Makati is like a big city sth similar to orchard road singapore.

Iphone 6 or Huawei P9?

I am thinking if I should get a P9 or Iphone 6, both are within my budget (RM 1600 plus) and a decent phone.

To me what matter the most is good battery and good camera.

Any recommendation?

Hi all, I am a 3.5 years' experienced HR practitioner and recently got an offer from an audit consulting company which is of different industry to where I am now- manufacturing.

Job function still in HR but for the new offer, the JD would be very specific as compared to what I am doing now which is much more wider.

Offer package as follow:

Current:
Basic: RM 3XXX.00
Position: Exec
Fixed Bonus: 1 month
Performance Bonus: Average 2.5 months
Annual Leave: Same
Medical: Same
Employer EPF: 15%
Industry: Manufacturing

New Offer: [U]
Basic: Around 35% of my current pay
Position: Assistant Manager
Fixed Bonus: Nil
Performance bonus: Average: 2 months
Annual Leave: Same
Medical: Same
Employer EPF: 13%
Industry: Audit, consulting

I am in dilemma, should I go for the new offer?

How long journey from Melaka Sentral to Klia2

I am having a flight at 2.55pm to Penang from KLIA2. Am estimating what time shall I arrive in Melaka Sentral to catch a bus to KLIA2.

A friend asked to meet recently coz he wants to promote his new venture / business. So, we met in 1 fine morning and he told me all about this happy life project… he explained all about passive income active income bla bla bla… financial freedom bla bla bla… be your own boss bla bla bla….

At the end he asked me to go to this gathering because he wants me to hear from the more successful people. Because he is such a good friend of mine, I followed and wented there.

At the gathering some pipu share their own experience, how to make money easily. Ended up 30% story about the products (unicity) and 70% on how to recruit downline, go travel, buy expensive car etc. etc.

To jaga dia mia hati I just angguk and smile oni but in my heart I’m very sceptical.

Its baffling, how can he – such a good man and full of vision fell for this mlm?? I guess some pipu at the moment of desperate are willing to try everything…. Haih sad.gif sad.gif

Unsold units continue to dampen property market

According to the National Property Information Centre (Napic), 18,908 of the 81,894 units of residential and commercial properties launched in the first quarter of 2016 have yet to be sold.

The cost of living has seen less Malaysian not affordable to buy property. Therefore, the buying activity was expected to remain stagnant if not lower and this would increase the number of unsold properties in the country.

It is not like there is no demand for properties, especially for homes, because the younger generation wants to own a home but they cannot afford the price these days,

Developers cannot sell properties at a lower price either, because the price of land and construction materials have gone up.

Hence, the government must step in to formulate a stimulus to restore the situation.

Hmm, I wonder what measure can government step in to change this situation other than rumawip, selangorku etc.
If unsold units continues to increase in number and developer keep on building houses/condo/apartments/ SOHO which seems like a popular trends now , will it make property cheaper or more affordable in coming years?

Scratch on Face Found The Next Morning

Hi all

I found a few scratches on my face today and yesterday morning when I woke up. I have no idea why there is scratches but I think I could have scratched myself during sleep.

Never it happen to me before, but it happen just these 2 days already. I am thinking to cut my nails, or wear gloves or mittens at night to prevent myself from scratches on my face

Has this ever happen to you ? Why ah?

I am planning to rent a room in Casa Subang USJ 1 there, anyone of you stay there? How is the environment?

I am working in Shah Alam and occasionally need to travel to Kl, since it is like a midpoint of KL and Shah Alam, so i guess it should be quite a good location?

I saw the south quay BRT is ready...Am thinking what is the route like? Sometimes I can travel to KL by using public transport? Hmm....

Coming out from Casa Subang should not be jam right?
