Data Cable

I just bought a new data cable from Digital Mall for my 8520....intend to have it as a spare set for office use.

When I plug my BB in, it will show the charging sign for like 3 seconds only before a prompt appears in the PC stating USB Device Not Recognised. Then no connection whatsoever between the PC and the BB.

Strange thing is when I plug my Nokia 2730, it can detect, no problem at all.

So, I use my original BB data cable...no problem in detecting both my BB and my Nokia?

I thought data cables are supposed to be generic and for universal use, not device specific? Can someone please advice me how to make my new data cable work with my BB?

SMS On Blackberry Device

Hi All,

I'm most likely be getting the 8520 tomorrow, and I'm very excited!

Right now I'm on Nokia E71, and one of the most important feature of the phone (or rather phones with Symbian 60 OS) that I need most is the ability to mass sms. At times I send sms to more than 100 contacts at one shot and can tag unlimited contact numbers to the sms at one go...and I believe SE or Nokia phones not running on Symbian 60 OS will limit the select only up to 20 contact numbers at a time.

How is it with blackberry phones? Someone ever told me that the user can only select up to 10 numbers at one time.

Can anyone confirm this?
