Details of the complaint :

Initial thread contains pictures and details of the items that listed by ts (Details of item sold to me has since been remove). I am interested with the item and I have directly contact though mobile as per request. He confirm the bag was available and agreed to sell me for RM1,200.

Package includes: The bag only as in picture. Comes with the sling strap! Tumi paperbag also available if you want.
Warranty: Full Tumi 5 year international warranty! Awesome! Warranty card included

We had deal through COD. On meet, I have inspected the item and made the payment.

Issue arise when I was attempting to registering the product and read the warranty T&C, which stated:

"Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. This will be needed to demonstrate your warranty coverage. Additionally, this will serve as proof that your purchase was made at an authorized Tumi retailer. Our Five Year Limited Warranty only applies to products that were purchased from an authorized Tumi store or dealer. "

I search through the bag but couldn't find the receipt, so I contacted the seller to see if he had it. He said that because the bag was a gift, there was no receipt. During inspection, I was under the assumption that the warranty card as per advertise in the post, was sufficient, and hence did not requested for the receipt.

I argue that due to the lack of the receipt, the warranty is as good as void. I was initially offered to return the item for full refund. I countered offer for additional discount on the item as the amount initially agreed upon was for "Item & full 5 years warranty", and I have only receive the item. The seller decline any further negotiation on price and then rescinded his offer for a full refund.
