9 string guitar - a new frontier

Guys~ have u all seen the 9 string guitar? it's official, Rondomusic have 9 string guitar out for sale

What are your view on a 9 string guitar? Do we guitarist really need a 9 string guitar??

People always say, how low can it get?? well, to me it is how we are going to utilize the extra low string.
It's not a bad thing to me, cause it is very inventive to create a 9 string guitar, and who know a new kind of guitar technique will be born, it will be interesting on seeing a new approach of approaching the guitar, instead of the Chugga chugga style that most people use to approach the 7 and 8 string guitar..

So share whatever your thought of the new arrival of 9 string guitar~

Tube amp+Guitar effect processor=gud combination?

Greeting, i need someone to clarify me on these thing. I don't really know how to put it but will give it a try anyway.

I am going to get a blackstar HT5 combo, after seeing much review and research on the net. It's going to be my first tube amp, low wattage tube amp best for home practice and small gig.

My question is:
I wonder how will it do combine with my Boss GT8 guitar effect processor?? will the Boss GT8 ruin or cloud the tone of the amp? meaning the amp tone wouldn't shine at it best if i pair it up with the GT8.

I'm asking these question cause the GT8 guitar effect processor do simulate many type of amp

ASIO and audio interface

Hello guys.. gonna jump straight to my question.

ASIO as we all know convert analog signal from guitar to digital signal into the computer. Audio interface also function the same, that is convert an analog signal to digital signal. If thats the case why people still use audio interface?

I currently record my guitar directly to my laptop, using ASIO driver. Wil the sound quality increase dramaticly if i use an audio interface??

anybody who know bout this topic please do share your thought on this...

Greetings~ I just find out about Boss BR-800, which is a digital recorder made by boss. I am new on this kinda thing so i wish to know more regarding boss br-800 and its other similiar product. So basicaly its a digital recorder, no need pc recording stuff and all other stuf, just plug in and you are ready to go. After seeing the product review on youtube ( heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFIs7FYK5RQ ) i have few question in mind. The Br-800 have usb can connect to pc/laptop, where u can record and have this wave file after u done recording. My question is : 1).Can i export the wave file, like save it to a pendrive and give it to a friend who use different recording software(the Br-800 use cakewalk software). Any other thought and any people with experience are very welcome to share their thought..
