Missed Call SMS Notification Problem

I've posted this in BB 9700 thread before. But seems no one reply it. If mod thinks this is unproper, please do let me know and i'll close this thread

Laptop Problem

I have laptop (Compaq Presario B1817TU). There is one problem suddenly happen around 3-4 days ago.

1. This laptop cannot On (or using power) by Laptop Battery. This laptop can only On with AC Adaptor only.

2. I'm not sure whether the battery problem or the laptop got problem because before this problem occur, there is no problem with the battery at all. The battery (before this problem occur) still can stand longer time as new battery

3. I still confuse about this problem when i check the power management in WinXP, the battery still detected by laptop.

4. The laptop is already out of warranty.

AMD X2 Cut Price on 9 July

Bruised but not broken, AMD fires off another volley of price cuts across Core 2 Duo's bow

With only a month until the most anticipated AMD product launch in five years, the company is pulling out all the stops to get competitive before the Back to School buying season.

The AMD-Intel price war, now almost into its second year, was cited as one of the contributing factors to the $611 million dollar loss AMD posted in the fiscal first quarter of 2007. Following that loss came a 400 employee headcount reduction and a $2.2 billion cash-for-stock deal.

Almost immediately after posting its Q1 loss, Mercury research declared that Intel managed to recapture all of AMD's marketshare gains from 2006 in the first three months of 2007. JP Morgan directly attributed the Intel traction due to aggressive pricing.

Effective Monday, July 9, 2007, AMD will enforce the following pricing among its channel:

With these new prices cuts, AMD will also significantly trim its retail CPU portfolio. All single-core Athlon and Sempron models currently in the channel will officially reach end-of-life status (EOL). The ultra-low cost Athlon 64 3500+, Athlon 64 3200+, Sempron 3500+ and Sempron 3200+ will continue to exist in high growth markets: Brazil, Russia, India and China.

AMD roadmaps confirmed that other low-cost single-core processor families like Lima have already been phased out, just three months after launch. The company is still slated to introduce its 65nm Sparta family, based on the K8 architecture, in September 2007.

The company's next-generation architecture, occasionally dubbed K10, will officially launch the last week of August for server platforms, and sometime late in the holiday season for desktops. AMD has not issued pricing notifications on these processors yet.

AMD fired the first volley at the Intel price war when the company dramatically slashed processor prices -- just days before the Intel Core 2 Duo launch. Since then, both companies reduced pricing of last year's products to less than 33% of last year's street price.

Memos released to DailyTech from AMD distributors confirm that the July 9 AMD price cuts are directly aimed at pre-empting the July 22 Intel price cuts. These upcoming Intel price cuts will cut current Intel quad-core almost in half.

I have two maxis number which is one i always use as my primary number and the other one is just for backup (the sim card keep in my other handphone).

Actually, i seldom topup my backup number and sometimes i never on the phone for a month because so lazy.

but just now, i try to check the expiry date, but then, wtf, they said please topup before 11/6/2007 and Sim Card Registration Fail. Do i have any chance to get back my number?

[WTA] Nokia USB DKU-5 Compatibility

My father using Nokia 6070. He want to use this handphone as EDGE modem for his laptop. I've google around the site but i got some misunderstood about the compatibility about the DKU-5 and this Nokia 6070. In the www.nokia-asia.com, there havent mention about the compatibilty. But when i google around, some said that only compatible with CA-42 Cable only and some said compatible with DKU-5. When i go to Lowyat, they said that CA-42 and DKU-5 almost the same cable.

My question is

Is this Nokia USB DKU-5 compatible with Nokia 6070 for using as EDGE modem?
Is CA-42 and DKU-5 cable is almost the same?

I own psp and surf internet via psp. Its a lil bit slow compare to surfing with pc.

I want to ask, if surf internet using pda, izzit better than psp? What i mean izzit satisfy (the speed) surfing using pda?

Which pda do you recommend?

[WTA] Overclock Gecube X300SE

Same thread but different story

I'm using Gecube X300SE HyperMemory 256MB

Stock setting
Core Clock = 325 MHz
Memory Clock = 400MHz (200x2)
Pipeline = 4

Last night i overclock my card to the maximum and refer to the picture

From the picture, shows my clock settings from AtiTool and Rivatuner.

Overclock Settings
Core Clock = 486 MHz
Memory Clock = 1620 MHz (810x2)

I got problem here. This setting score (3dMark01SE and 3DMark03) same as i dont overclock this GC.

For your information, i run with this setting without any single artifact.

I want to ask whether
-My gc has broken pipeline?
-Faulty?
-Or the AtiTool and Rivatuner playing with me?
