Income tax question

Hi everyone
I have a question regarding Tax Relief and was hoping anyone can help me.

According to http://www.hasil.org.my/goindex.php?kump=5...3&unit=1&sequ=1 and no 14

if I buy a house and the
(iii) the sale and purchase agreement is signed between 10th March 2009 and 31st December 2010

I can ask for a tax relief.

My wife bought a house during that time but the S&P was signed in early January 2011. I was wondering if she can ask for tax relief.

I know it sounds obvious that she should not, but if you look at the site you will see that for last 4 years (2009-2012) the tax relief can be asked for that exact same period of 2009 to 2010.

So I am thinking is it a mistake from their side?

Thanks so much for your help.

Cheers
Avi

Explaining MMU grades for an Australian Uni

Dear LYN members,
Need help.

I applied for a Phd for RMIT in Australia and after accepting they asked me to provide explanation of my grades in MMU in terms of Australian Standard in order to consider for scholarship. I search in the net on how to explain my CGPA in terms of RMIT but I could not find anything reliable.

Some website suggest I should put it as CGPA * 18 + 20, some suggest +30 but none offers any uni link for that.

So do LYN members know how to do it or can suggest who do I go about this?

My CGPA is 3.4 (graduated in Animation) from MMU. Thanks alot

Some links :
1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Australia
2. http://www.rmit.edu.au/students/gradingbasis/gpa

12GB RAM doesnt want to enter the OS

Hi everyone,
I use 10gb RAM on dual booting OS, xp 32 and xp 64., all worked well last time,. but i upgraded to 12gb (2x2gb ibm pc3200 + 2 x 2gb qmonda pc2700+ 2x2gb kingston pc2700) and the problem starts - it does not enter into the OS.

When i boot the pc, it boots up as usual, but it cant detect keyboard during the boot session, and when comes to part of choosing xp 32 and 64 , it hangs after that, do you all think it is something to do with dual OS? My mainboard supports up to 12GB, my boards is MSI MS-9620 KN8 2FAR

I have tested the IBM ram alone, it does work. It basically works only when they are all up to 8GB no matter what model you mix, but when u dumped to 12GB it doesnt want to enter the os. Now, in term of speed there shouldn't be any prob cos it will be backward to pc2700, right?

Can any of the expert LYN member help me to find the solution?

Fuji Xerox Phaser 8860

Hi there,
I need some info on Fuji Xerox Phaser 8860 printer.

1. How much does it cost? (From US price I think its around 6k plus - but not sure la)
2. Where can I buy this? Can I buy this with installment?
3. As I read, the printer uses solid ink technology. Where Can I buy solid ink and how much the price.

Besides all these questions, if you have used this printer before you can comment on it. If you know, you can also tell your opinions on Xerox printers. I will be needing it to print quite a lot of colors prints, so when I saw this printer saying it can print colors at the cost of BW I felt excited. But not sure where to buy this in Malaysia.

Sorry for so many questions. Thanks a lot.

Cheers

"almost" free 32 inch LCD TV in MMU

I think this is mostly suited for desginers. But since this is just a greeting card design so I think anyone also can do one.
Here is the thing - one of the startup in MMU is giving a 32 inch TV for the prize. All you need to do is design a greeting card. Should be few hours work la.

Who wan go to Enveluv.com website.
