seeking comments from the rest before the purchase here
- selling price: rm78888
- insurance: rm2300++ (not sure why it's so expensive. would that bcoz of the 3+2 warranty?)
- rm500 transfer fee + rm400 road tax (is this normal?)
- car make, 2010. register, aug 2010. should be CKD as i don't see TC system there
- didn't ask for OT discount. don't think there is for pre-owned
- mileage, 20k
- what bank rate that you guys get last time for new/old sonata nf? >2.6%?

New highway links Puchong to Tropicana

A new proposed highway linking Kinrara in Puchong to the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) will be cutting across Petaling Jaya near Tropicana.

The new link, which is off the Kesas Highway cuts through Section 4, Section 8, Jalan Timur, Jalan Semangat, Rothmans roundabout, Damansara Intan and Damansara Kim.

The toll highway, expected to start construction soon, also goes along the Sprint Highway all the way to the NKVE near Tropicana area.

Traffic planning consultant Goh Bok Yen said the new link would help alleviate the traffic problems in Petaling Jaya.

“Petaling Jaya badly needs roads that provide good access. It basically requires dispersal link to access the highways for ingress and digress,” he said.

Goh cited as an example the NKVE which, he said, cut on the west side to Kota Damansara, Ara Damansara and Tropicana.

A few links that are mainly used are Persiaran Surian, the FAS tunnel and Tropicana.

For the entire Kota Damansara, Damansara Perdana and Mutiara Damansara, he said logically there should be another route to allow traffic out of Persiaran Surian.

StarHub has won the contract to operate Singapore's next-generation broadband network, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore announced. StarHub will establish the Next Gen NBN OpCo, called Nucleus Connect, to design, build and operate the active infrastructure. The government will provide a grant of up to SGD 250 million to Nucleus Connect to support the infrastructure deployment. The government has already allocated SGD 750 million to OpenNet, the SingTel-led company that will manage the passive infrastructure on the fibre-to-the home network. Nucleus Connect will manage wholesale services over the network, providing retail operators with capacity to offer a range of services. Wholesale prices are set at SGD 21 per month for a 100 Mbps residential connection and SGD 121 for 1 Gbps, while non-residential premises, such as offices and schools, will have a wholesale price of SGD 75 for 100 Mbps and SGD 860 for 1 Gbps. Starhub said it expects to start commercial services over the new network in Q1 2010, while the government targets universal service in 2013. StarHub beat bids from three rival groups, including the IntelliNet Consortium (Axia NetMedia and Cisco Systems), MobileOne and Singtel. Nucleus Connect expects to spend about SGD 1 billion on the active network over the 25-year period of the licence.
