Grade in Form 5?

Hi,
I'm currently applying to the US, and I'm quite confused with their "Grade" system.
I'm required to fill in the subjects and the grades that I've gotten during secondary school.
The problem is, what is our "Form 5" equivalent to in the US education system?

From http://www.rasami.ac.th/cms/index.php?opti...temid=95&vs=cur , we are supposed to be grade 12 when we are 17 years old, but following the British education system, we are in grade 10 in Form 5.

Flight from KUL to TGG

Hello

I'm trying to get the most reasonable flight from KLIA to TGG airport for a vacation with me and my other 2 friends on the 22nd Aug 2011.
We will be travelling to Redang soon after reaching Terengganu Airport.

I missed MAS' promotion, which was RM 89 (one way) by a day and I was wondering if I could still get that price for the air ticket (morning flight).
Could you recommend on how should I proceed with this? Is there another flight from KLIA which is almost equivalent to the MAS' one?
So far, I've found that Air Asia is selling their tickets @ RM 106.
I hope you will be able to help us in this as we are students and haven't actually booked a plane ticket by ourselves before.

On another note, is it possible for us to place a booking without paying the full amount/pay a deposit?

Drop down menu disappears

Hello guys,
I'm using a windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and i recently experienced a problem with my system.

When I type an address on the address bar in firefox, the drop down menu comes down for 0.5 seconds and disappears immediately.
I found out that something is automatically moving my directional keys, even when my keyboard is unplugged. I could see my volume mixer (sound output) increasing even though I do not press anything.
I cannot use the horizontal bar in firefox too when I try to sidescroll, because it will automatically move to the left.

However, I do not experience this problem when I type over here, or in my instant messaging programmes.

I hope you can help me here.

1TB Green WD Harddisk Slow

Hey,
I've recently got a 1TB WD Green Hard Disk and installed it on my computer, to replace it with an old Seagate 180GB, which is around 5 years old.
I moved windows from my old harddisk to my 1TB WD Green with Acronis True Image and found out that my computer really lags when I scan it with Norton antivirus.
It was even hard to click the start button.

I decided to reinstall a fresh copy of windows on the 1TB WD Green harddisk, thinking that it would be the same. But the problem still remains.
I changed the SATA cable, and I dont think it has improved.

My specs:
Intel Core i7 860
4GB DDR 3 RAM
WD Green 1.0TB HDD (Primary)
WD Green 500GB HDD

Any idea?

Help with Windows 7 Ultimate Desktop Distortion

Hi guyz, as seen in the image attached.

something is wrong with my windows 7 ultimate.

Sometimes upon startup, alot of my backgrounds become distorted, with images of the gadgets, and the transparency as well. (the transparency of the gadgets)

Usually, restarting the Theme service should eliminate the issue.

I have TuneUp Utilities 2010, previously I thought it was the Tune Up theme extension issue, but after turning that service to disabled, I still have those issues.

My G/C and proc are new, bought the rig on 31 August 2010.

A levels, IB, good colleges?

Hello,
I will be having my SPM soon, and I still have not made up my mind on which college will is best for me, next year.

I want to do computers in the future, and hope to study abroad (in the US)

I've narrowed down my choices to A-Levels and IB.

Can you guys share your thoughts on both choices? Put cost a side, which would bring me further into the good universities in US?

Also, which college do you recommend for these two courses? Best college for A levels/IB in KL/Selangor?
I heard some bad comments Taylor's college Sri Hartamas IB programme and some good comments on their A levels course.

I don't know much about this, so feel free to correct me.

Just asking for your opinion;

i currently have a N95 8gb.
I bought it @ february 2008, which means that the warranty period is over.

my phone is giving me problems now, short battery life and it gives some sound when i slide it upwards.

how much would it cost to fix that sliding problem? (nothing else is affected by that problem, just the sound)
also, how much does a BL-6F battery cost? (the original Nokia battery)

is it better to send the phone for repair, or should i just get a new phone?

Nikon 3100 vs Canon EOS 550D

Hey,
I'm scouting around for a possible new camera, and found these 2 DSLR cameras which are very interesting.
The Nikon was released recently and the 550D was released earlier this year.

The price range is similar (i think), should be in the 2-3k+ range for body and lens.

I am aware about the difference in Megapixels, but would that affect the picture quality? I heard it's the CMOS sensor, which makes the difference, am i right ?
And the DSLR camera comes with a simple lens, which i would plan to use until i decide to upgrade it. which lens is better? the canon's or the nikon?

I like taking close-up images, and i would like a camera which can be used in most conditions.

What do you guys recommend?

Monitor network usage

I am looking for a software that will monitor the download for a few computers in my network.
Is there a software that can, maybe connect to my router and record the download from each computer from the IP address?

*i am using P1, and my 20gb is going to run out soon... Their monitor online only shows the download for the whole p1 account..

I currently have a 300W power supply. Do i have to buy a more powerful power supply to make this rig work?

AMD Equivalent to Intel's i7?

Hey,
I'm planning to upgrade my computer soon. I currently have a core 2 duo processor.
I noticed that the intel i7 is rather expensive compared to the other ranges of processors. I guess that i7 has a range of its own (hyperthreading, etc). So, I am wondering if AMD has a product which is similar (or almost) with the i7, since AMD's processor and motherboards are really cheap.

Another question, does AMD require buyers to change their motherboards as often as intel does? Intel uses the LGA1366, 1156, 775 to match the processor to the motherboard; does AMD follow the "45nm"?

When is the most suitable time to upgrade? (I can wait for a year)

Easy-to-use 3D Software

Hello,
I am going to produce a backdrop for my school's concert.
I plan on using a 3D graphic program for it.

I've used Google Sketch-up before and i found out that i cannot make better 3d graphics. For example, I noticed that I cannot make the water flow, leaves move when there is a wind, etc.

Are there any 3d softwares that you can recommend, which is easy to use (not MAYA)?
