Unusual Lagging Problems with dell desktop PC

Hi, i have a dell inspiron 531s desktop computer. recently i'm having some problems. i just did a fresh install of windows vista home premium 32bit. then intalled all drivers from dell support website and install all important programs like antivirus, microsoft office, adobe reader, firewall and etc. the thing is i did this fresh install is because before this i could start up my pc then use normally for about 2 hours +, then it will slowly start to lag over time. and if left on it will eventually lag till mouse cant move and nothing can be done. so after the fresh install this also happen. i left the pc on overnight to see it the same problem occured and sure enough it happen. i have done diagnostic test to see if its hardware problem but no errors. also done a memory test and no errors. used a registry cleaner but no use. now i'm guessing its either a software issue related to driver problem. but i have no clue how to solve it and its driving me crazy! so if anyone can offer me any help on this matter i would be very grateful! please help me out. if any pc technician is reading this please share ur ideas to help me out. thank you very much for reading. thanks!

my pc specs :
amd athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4800+
3 X 1GB ram = 3gb ram
256mb ati radeon x1300pro
windows vista home premium 32bit
age of pc about 3 years 5 months
