Laptop Recommendations?

I'm thinking of getting a laptop cuz my PC still using old system.. everything is so slow.. I'm not good with these stuff so I was just wondering if you guys can recommend which laptop to get. Even playing Plants vs Zombie lags.. playing half of the normal speed. :/

I'll be using the laptop for assignments and school related stuff. There are times where I'll download shows and movies to watch, or be doing some graphic manipulation.. sometimes will be downloading games to play.

Is Home Edition fine or what I dont even know these things T-T

budget less than 4000? if not then its fine. screen size... im not sure, i dont even know hoe big they are.. 15"? 17"?
