complaining Against wanbob93

Forumer you are complaining against: wanbob93

Item being sold/bought: astro a40 wireless gaming headset, good condition, price nego (Headphones)

Original thread link: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2380412&hl=

Date of transaction: 17 jun 2012

Details of the complaint :

i've paid RM950 for the item and RM70 for postage, so total of RM1020. Item received. while i start using it play modern warfare 3 using my PC, i notice the sound on left channel appear to be softer, hence making the sound stage moved slightly to the right. at first i though is my ear problem. so i decided to bring it to my fren house and ask my fren to tested it for me on his PS3. same game MW3. my fren also said the same things. i texted the seller right away, asking him why the left side appear to be softer, he reply saying he tested before post no problem. ask me to try again check cable connected properly, try setting on the mixamp. i was like "setting on the mixamp?". for those own a mixamp you know what i mean. i text him back, saying i'll test it again and let him know by then. went back my place and tested it again and again, with my PC and PS3 by playing games and watching movie. i even compare it with the my ATH-AD900. on my AD-900 there's no such issue. At that time my fren is also buying a A40 wired system from another forumer, so i decided to wait my fren item to arrive and tested with his A40 side by side. As my fren A40 sound is very balance left right compare to mine. We tried changing things to tested both our astro system. And we tried everything, by using my headset with his wired mixamp, his headset with my mixamp, cable, even the ear bud we swapped it to try, but it doesn't make any better, problem is still there. Its seems clear that the problem doesn't cause by those accesories that come with it. so i started texting him again to request for refund and i'll send him back the item, since the problem is there since i got it, and there's goes the "interesting" part.
Not only he refuse to refund, he started blaming on the postage might have gone wrong and he's not responsible for that. As far i remember the headset was in the headset case while i open the box, not to mention those tons of news paper he put inside the package for protection. And worst of it, he even try to blame on me that i've could have spoil the item myself, and that really pissed me off. and in fact i had text him right on the next day i start using it. He also keep on saying that he tested before posting and there's no problem, is either he don't notice it or he refuse to admit the problem. And all i care is i found this problem since i receive it and seller should have been responsible for it, and not just blame it on some lame excuse. After few days of struggling texting and calling, it seems firm that he will not do a refund and be responsible for the item he sell. i've decide to post this complaint and let other buyers out there to be aware of this things happening to them.
thanks for reading.
