Budget monitor

Hi all, recently i've been shopping for a basic budget monitor for my mum.
Currently looking for a 27 inch monitor to pair to a M1 Mac Mini or soon to be M2. (Monitor first while waiting to see if the M2 will release)

Back to the question,
I've notice the budget monitors are pretty similar
75mhz, 4-6ms respond time, few ports here and there and no speaker

In fact, im facing a decision fatigue not knowing which to pick best for my mum.
No specific requirement as she do not game and what no, just basic paperwork and youtube here and there.

I'm looking for the best bang for the buck but monitor prices has come down quite alot.

Advise on Ninja 250 2013

Hi bikers,

Bit background of me. Got a b2 license, rode a momos madass during high school for around 6 months or so. That was it
Recently i'm looking into riding bikes. I'm looking to use this bike for next 1-2 years and currently eyeing on a used 2013 Ninja 250.
However i have zero knowledge about this this bike and what not. Would be great if anyone could in put me.

Initially i was looking for the 2008/2012 model as i thought i would be cheaper. Turns out i was wrong. The 2013 models are coming don in prices as well (Under 10k).

I am planning to use the bike for short trips, cruises and more importantly during the rush hour. Trips that i could save time and just hop and go (if you know what i mean)

Me questions are as below.
1. Will i be able to side the 2013 Ninja 250 with a B2 license? As I believe it's a 300cc bike. (correct me if im wrong)

2. What's the average market price for a used 2013 ninja 250? As based on my research they could range around 8-15k which is quite a big gap for a 250 bike.

3. The resell value of the bike. As i believe i'm just at a phase right now looking to get back into riding. I'm expecting to sell the bike in 2 years time.
Say i bought a used 2013 ninja 250 otr for around 9500 cash. How much should i be expecting to sell down the road in 1-2 years time?

4. Finally, what is the expected maintenance for it? As i know you wwould have to service the bike every 3k.

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded a sdd from a hdd for my dad's pc.
Everything went smoothly. The thing is i would like to check what's inside the hdd and do not know how to do it.

I've tried plugging in sata cable but could not find any drive on my computer. Without finding/ having access to the hdd. I could not wipe them too.

I currently have two old hdd as boot drive. Would like to access the documents before i can wipe them.

Please note that they are still working. Will boot if i plug in only the hdd.

Minor Maintenance

Hi all, i'm passing on my toyota innova (first gen) to my sister as she needs a car to drive atm.

There are few things i would like to change and would require some advise from you all.

1. looking to change the car suspension as it shakes alot especially going over humps.Should i change the absorber only or also the springs? How much would it cost? Saw a set of APM both front and back absorber on shopee cost 300 plus. is it reliable?

2. Brakes are not as tight as before. How much would it cost to replace them at a shop? drum brakes and disc brakes

3. The last time i went to do regular oil change. The mechanic told me there's some oil leaking. Would require a change of seal. Will i be able to do it without replacing the engine oil? or should i wait till next oil change? (no idea which part leak btw)

4. Steering fluid. The same mechanic told me to change the steering fluid as well. But the prob is wheni check the fluid it isnt black yet. And how much would this normally cost?

Finally, do you think i could just bring the car to a tire shop so they could do an overall check for me and give me a quote on it before i decide which to replace and what not? Will they replace parts for me if i purchase them online and pay them labour?

Sorry for the hassle as i recently move to kl and worry if the mechanics here will give me cut throat prices after i did all the changes. /Or is there a mechanic that you guys will recommend? damansara area. willing to go further if cheaper and reliable.

40k Car Recommendation

Hi fast and furious sifu.

Looking to get a new / used car at around 40k range. Can slightly top up if needed to.

Right now friends and family recommend get vios or city for that price range.

Or get a used myvi at 20k ish.

But i was wondering if there are other cars you guys would recommend.

Personally, i am eyeing one a polo tsi 1.2. But people say problematic.

Looking for a fun and reliable car to drive at 40k ish or even below. Dont mind maintenance as in services and all but dont want problematic cars. (if that makes any sense?)

Samsung J6 os OPPO A3S

Going to maxis to get one later.
I think oppo design is more futuristic with the notch and love the huge battery. Only concern is lagg and firmware support

while samsung is nice to hold in hand. Firmware support im guessing it's betetr than oppo?
Downside in design is meh and battery is alright.

Please do not suggest other phone because these are the better phones for the deal of RM1.

Need help with engine oil

Hi sifu sifu

i'm still learning how to read the motor oil.

Recently bought a LEXUS 5W40 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 4L ( New API SN ) from lazada. Here
didnt think through if it will be suitable for my car.

I was wondering if this motor oil will be useable for my car? I drive a toyota innova. 10+years. If im not mistaken it's the first innova
One more thing is i always remember need two bottles of 4L of motor oil and there will be left overs.
Should i buy another bottle?

Forgot to add. I read reviews all say the oil make engine less responsive or make the car feel heavier.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Today found out my tire puncture. Change to spare tyre already

But was wondering if anyone know where to patch a tyre? Or should i just walk in to any tyre shop and get it fix?

and how much will it usually cost?

My area will be kl, kepong, damansara and ss2

i just found out my tire is puncture by a nail. but its on the shoulder. Was thinking of patching it tbh.

Although i already bought a pair of new tires.

Just feel like theres some more life in it

Need help with old laptop

Im not sure if posting here is the right place.

I recently tear down my dads old dell inspiron 640m to clean it up and apple new thermal paste.
I did a total teardown considering how old is the laptop is to clean dust on the inside instead of just opening the back panel to reapply paste

Everything went well. clean all the dust following youtube videos. How every here come the down side
Bear in mind the the laptop do not have a battery anymore.
I could not turn on the laptop. and im pretty sure there are no hardware issue

I tried removing the hdd the putting in back. Once i plug the power cable in it instantly turn on.
but once i turn the laptop off.
I have to do everything over again to keep it on. Meaning take hdd in and out then plug power in it will automatically turn on.

Heres my question dos anyone know whats wrong with it?
my only guess is just the power button ribbon broke because it did not power on or off and there are no light
but funny thing is how does plugging in the power cable turns the computer on automatically.

TLDR:
Took apart old laptop to clean and apply thermal paste
Total tear down.
laptop did not turn on unless taking the hdd in and out and plug power cable
it will on automatically.

hardware no prob. suspect power button broke. no lights
but could only turn on the laptop by repeating the above process.

SE215 Equivalent

Hi Audiophiles,

Some time ago I've upgraded your average apple provided earphones to the xiaomi piston.
Bought the for gf she didnt like it.
The gold one where everyone was hyped about which i bought due to the reviews and the price.
In my honest opinion i think they are alright. but i personally do not like the fitting of it. The in ear keeps falling out of my ear and i have to keep pushing them in.

Recently i my gf was looking for a pair of earphones to replace her broken ones. So again i did some research and decided to invest in a slightly more expensive earphones, the Shure SE215.
However, turns out she didnt really like it as she thinks its too much of a hassle to bend the wire and the fitting feels weird. She prefers in ears but she thinks that the xiaomi mi piston metal part is rubbing against her ear.

So i had no choice but to take them in again.
Hence now im looking for any recommendation at about 150-250 price point with the SE215 equivalent. Could stretch abit if its worth it.

I've seen final audio and did consider the RHA but not sure what to decide as If im honest, after trying the SE215 i couldnt really tell the difference between the xiaomi piston and the SE215. And honestly they are slightly better than the earpods.

Not sure if my testing method is wrong plugging earphones into devices wouldnt make any difference.
Could someone tell me what should i do to test these earphones to their potential and the correct way

Our usage are normal on devices and youtube and what not. your average consumer.

Your recommendation and help is very much appreciated.

Fish Breeding to support hobby

Hi sifu sifu and fellows who are into fishes

I currently have some interest in keeping fishes / crayfishes / prawn (you get what i mean. LOL )

However i do know their expenses sometimes can get really high to maintain them

I was thinking what if i could breed certain species of fish to maintain this hobby.

My past personal experience of keeping fishes were koi and those tiger fishes when i was younger.

Based of my research only fishes like arowana, kamfa have value. Even discus can some times be really cheap

Would and of you experience keeper or breeder share some experience?

Would love to hear all of them and learn from it. Be it be fishes or crayfish.
