How to split WAV file

Hi All,

Thanks 1st for LYN help. I have a few WAV file that consist of the entire CD album song. I would like to know is there any software that can help extract or split one particular song that i like from that WAV file. I want to put the song in my mp3 player but i just like one particular song instead of the entire album.

Hope lyn is kind enough to suggest or advice me on this, really thanks!

I have a little question to ask, hope all the sifu's can help answer me.

I recently bought a 4870 x2 graphic card but come to realize i'm using a silverstone strider 560W power supply, can this PSU support the graphic card??

I don't have the intention of overclocking the gc, just need it to run stably at default clock speed.

And here's my rig spec:

E6600
P5Q deluxe
3 x raptor HDD
1 DVD rom
1 DVD-RW
SB audigy sound card
2 x 12cm fan, 1 x 14cm fan
2 pcs of ram

that's about my rig, if adding in 4870 x2, with 560W will it still operate stably??

Need help on movie conversion

A very good morning to all LYN members. I really need some help from all the pros here.

I have been converting movies to play in my iphone with a software called xilisoft.

I manage to successfully convert the movie files into mp4 format. The quality is quite good except for a problem:

the audio of the movie lags behind the video after conversion.

I have tried many combination of bit rate, frame rates, resolution and audio sampling rate but still all the converted files still have the audio lagging prob.

Hopefully someone would guide me whether is it my comp processing power not enough, or the software itself is causing this, or there are some settings that i need to be aware of to avoid the lagging sound.

Been trying a few nights and can't manage to get it right. So far i have only try this xilisoft video conversion software.
Any others to be recommend which don't have such prob??

Computer problem

Hi to all the pros in LYN,

little noob brother here got some PC problem that need ur kind help.
Normally in XP, whenever we put in a dvd or cd, there will be this autorun function pop up,
recently in my com, this autorun function seems like being disabled.
even when i put in any games or even the XP cd,
it won't pop up the installation menu.

I need to manually go to my computer,
double click on my dvd drive icon to get the installation menu pop up.

Before this i have never change any settings in my computer.
And my comp doesn't seems to have virus.
The dvd is readable, the dvd rom is functioning,
the only prob is the autorun function is not working.

Anyone here face this prob before? Mind telling me how to solve this??
Hope the pros are kind enough to help me with this prob.

is actually for intel boards with built in graphic to add in optional video interface such as DVI or even HDMI.

Just wana know if there are available in m'sia market??

where about in KL can i get them?? and roughly how much the price is??

i plan to go lowyat and ask, but is gonna be tiring go all the way there just to know whether the card available in m'sia or not.

HDD RAID failure

Kindly need help from specialist here, the prob goes like this:

My power supply fail yesterday, n so the com auto shut down all of a sudden.
When i tried to restart it with a new power supply, somehow one of RAID drive shows a failure status.
So it can't be boot anymore unless i delete the RAID n create a new one again.
which means i will lost all my valuables data since i didn't manage to backup.
Can any sifu here teach me how to change the status of my RAID drive from failure to normal again?
Coz i remember when i use my previous PC, which is an intel 865P chipset, it allows user to change back the RAID drive to normal status when the drive fail.
Hopefully someone can help me safe my files back, ur help is really much appreciated.

P/S: sorry for the very vague description of my problem here, for those who don't understand what i mean, please ask as i will try to explain much simpler as i could.

FYI, im using an intel 965G chipset motherboard, my RAID drives are build from 2 western digital 36gb raptor.

Hi, hope u guys don't mind about the noob question, i basically know that CDMA is just another method of transmitting data through mobile phone. What i want to ask is whether m'sia, besides GSM, any service provider is providing CDMA service?? and if compare to GSM, is CDMA consider better or worse in terms of reliability and speed of transmission?

Hi, i recently bought a compaq presario laptop which has a SATA hdd. According to the store technician they say i need to disable the SATA function before i can install windows, and when i have finish installing i can enable back. The problem is after i have install windows and the intel chipset driver, i try enable back the native SATA function but it couldn't log into windows anymore. Anyone mind helping me out?? is it because i have partition the hdd therefore the SATA function can't be used anymore?
