This is a very nice 22" monitor, it is 1920 x 1200, taller than the all the 1080 that flood the market currently. The extra height makes this monitor not only good for normal usages like web browsing and gaming, but it excels at working with documents and programming. This LCD also can pivot into vertical position, very useful to read long programs or long web pages. It has 4 USB ports built in. I only sell this because am funding for a bigger one.

Does Flac playing mobile devices make sense?

Dear sifus,

I am an music buff and I have got tonnes of mp3, flac, and ape stuffs of all types of music: classical, jazz, and pop. I don't own high end audio machines and I usually listen to music through my pc, my car stereo, and my Nokia 5800 phone.

Recently I'm looking to buy a portable player (like iPod, but that's too pricey). I wish to know if I should get a player that can only play mp3 format, or a costlier one that can play flac and ape. I know from theory that flac and ape files have better SQ, but, if I'm only using mobile devices, would the difference be obvious? I have no idea at all because I have never heard an actual mobile player playing flacs before. I want to know if it is worth it to spend more $ on it, or just buy a cheap Sansa or Philips and play mp3.

If you have actual experience, please enlighten me.

Can anyone help to name the following TV movie (in about 4 parts)?

I've watched a TV movie in 1998 in Malaysian TV station (most likely NTV7) , it should be a US production. The story was about a psychiatrist hired to help a very rich, young, and pretty lady who had suicidal tendency (or some mental disorder). He spent a lot of time and efforts, through getting involved with her life, he successfully cured her, and in the process, fell in love with her. He also had got to live the lifestyle of a rich man due to his relationship with his patient. Unfortunately, the lady got tired of him eventually, and turned her attention to another man. The tv movie was shown in 4 parts, making it almost 6-8 hours in total. This series was made in a very tasteful manner, with nice costumes and beautiful settings. The acting was great, with a tint of melancholy. I'm not very sure if the period was in the 30's or contemporary. The last scene was unforgettable, where the girl was now having a good time with her new lover and party by the sea (or a pool), the doctor kept watching them at a distance. Her new lover asked her if she wanted him to be sent away, she said no, it's his duty to watch over me... (something like that). And then the ending was the blue water surface with ripple and small waves, perpetually.

I really wish to watch it again, it is worth it...

TvPad2 - Need Comments & Reviews

I am looking for an Android TV box to stream tv programs from internet, mainly HK and China TVs for my old mother to watch.

I recently found out about TvPad2. Some questions i'd like to ask:

1. Is it Android based?

2. From what i can see from the videos, this unit has a lot of hk and china channels included already - that's great! i'd like to see how easy it is to add NetFlix and Hulu etc., because they are important to some readers here.

3. Remote control : the videos never show the remote control in action, so i have no idea is it as easy to use as the asstro remote - this is important for old people like my mother, because air mouse would be very hard for them to use as they never know how to use computer. So if the remote control is as easy to use as the asstro one, i'd most likely buy it, or else, I would just buy those cheaper ones like MK808 or HiMedia Q5ii. this TvPad2 cost RM850 man!!!

4. WIFI: i read from online comments that the built-in wifi sucks, and many just connect it with cable. Is that true?

Looking forward to responses from actual users of TvPad2.

Can Avoid Astro or not?

Astro Remote Control

Hi all sifus, have been using Astro for many years, and have changed many remote controls along after the original remote control rosak. All those replacements are cheap ones, some last long some don't. now my latest one rosak just after used for a couple of months. got fed up after changing so many, would liek to ask are there better ones that we can buy out there? Does Astro sell them? If it is expensive by Astro, got other alternatives that's better than those rm5 units?

Problem details

Problem description:

When I first used this new router about 2 weeks ago, everything is ok - wireless and LAN cable connections are both good.

After 1 week, the router becomes very hard to connect to the internet, sometimes even after repeatedly switching it on and off it still won't connect, but randomly, it will connect when you just turn it on.

And, when it is on, sometimes the connections are fantastic for the whole night, but, most of the time, the connection on my laptop is bad: the wifi connection can just stop, and if i connect the LAN cable, the wired connection will be on; and after some time, the wired connection will be off, and i will enable the wifi - and the connection will be back. Sometimes, both connections will be out! There is no fixed pattern, I just don't know what is really wrong!!!
