Laptop with Nvidia graphic cards, how many fans?

Want to find out how many fans are there for Nvidia graphic cards:

50 series
40 series
30 series

Does it depend on the brand as well like MSI Thin, Cyborg, Sword, Katana, Stealth, Vector, Titan series, Acer Predator & Nitro series, HP Victus, Lenovo Legion series?

Coz I asked 1 shop selling MSI, that sales assistant told me the MSI Thin series laptops all have 2 fans but the shop that dedicated selling MSI told me Thin series has 1 fan, Katana series has 2 fans... so how do I check whether the laptop has 1 fan or 2 fans WIHTOUT opening the laptop from the bottom (and risk breaking and void warranty sticker)

Have you guys and gals every wonder why when you are down with flu, cough, fever or sore throat, when you go to clinic and have the doctor diagnose you,
the doctor will then tell you what to do and what not to do, 1 of the common sentense I heard is
"No fruits, no juices"
How come? I thought that fruits and juices are healthy and could bring in the the needed vitamins/minerals for the body.
"Drink plenty of water"
Ya, I think this is also most common coming from doctors, and they prefer you drink water over juices. Any idea why?

MSI laptop fan noisier than b4

Guys, need help/advice here.

I bought one MSI laptop GP62MVR 6RF Leopard Pro about 17 months ago, bought from Lazadanot from official MSI store.

Earlier this month, the laptop fan has become more noisier than before. I can even hear the laptop fan noise from downstairs if I leave my laptop on and game running on the 2nd floor living hall.

When I check the MSI Dragon Center, the CPU fan rpm hardly go beyond 4000 even when game is running.

There was once I even see the temperature of both CPU and GPU go beyong 85 degrees Celsius.

What should I do? The laptop is still under 2 years warranty.

Nintendo 3DS upper screen faulty

Hi guys,

Is there any shop that can fix the faulty screen of Nintendo 3DS (the clam-shell type)?

When I flip it open, the upper screen doesn't have any lights until I tilt the screen at 1 precise angle... so I think it is spoil or the connection is faulty...

It's already past warranty period for many years... so I'm thinking how much it would cost if repair it? I want to sell it off too since I'm not using/playing it anymore.

Any advice?

MSI P Series gaming laptops

As the title and description says, I want to get some opinions from some of you on the MSI P Series gaming laptops...

1. Are the P series like PE60, PE62 as good as GL series like GL62/GL62M say if they have the same graphic card like Nvidia GTX 1050 and processor?
2. Are P series models good in heat dispersion / ventilation? Got any turbo fan boost like G-series?

Right now I see got some sales/discounts from 14-19 Nov for limited time... do you think it is worth to buy 1 of the models?

This PL60 model looks rather tempting for a entry for gaming laptop...

Hey guys, need some advice here.

I saw these 2 PC sticks at Lazada

My question is, can I plug a 4-port USB hub and connect with USB keyboard and mouse to control Windows 10?
Are these PC sticks just plug in to a HDMI port and it will boot up?
Can it work with PC monitor with HDMI? What HDMI version does it support?
What kind of Windows 10 is it running on? Is it the typical Windows 10 that you use on Desktop computers?

OS keep rebooting/crash BSOD

Hi guys,

I noticed of lately my desktop computer Windows 7 (custom build, not any specific brand desktop computer) has been acting weird.

Random OS reboot or suddenly BSOD. If BSOD, I see it is memory error.
But if reboot, the only symptom I notice is the CPU fan is spinning very fast and produce loud sound and then reboot.

Most of the time when I started playing games, then it will happen. But there are times it also rebooted or BSOD when just leaving the computer on or surfing the net or even listening to music.

Any idea how to fix/troubleshoot the problem?

Hi guys,

Need some advice here.

I've got this feeling that I'm somehow attracted to my immediate superior in my workplace, in the same department.

Although she isn't the prettiest gal in the office but I'm really want to get to know her more and then want to confess to her.

However, I'm guessing that she's slightly older than me, since she's been working for like 11+ years.

So, if you are wondering, what make me attracted to her?
It's her honesty, smile, her laughter, and she's kinda approachable and friendly.
She's not that tall, probably like around 5", and slim, yea, met my requirements.
Though I don't always talk to her about anything except mostly work-related.

And, I also guessing that she's not seeing anyone or have a bf.

However, I'm having second thoughts about if I confess to her, and the consequences that comes after.

HD 7770 don't have desktop support on 1080?

Hi,

I recently bought a AMD HD 7770 graphic card. After installing the driver from DVD and also downloaded the latest driver from AMD, I still find out that 7770 does not have a support to 1080 resolution.

What I meant is this, when I click on AMD icon at the clock area, point to

1. AMD HD Radeon 7770 series -> Set Desktop Area to -> Basic ->
at the basic menu, I don't see any resolution for 1920 x 1080.

If I point to
1. AMD HD Radeon 7770 series -> Set Desktop Area to -> HDTV ->
it has 1080i and 1080p

My monitor is Samsung SyncMaster B2330 which supports full HD at 1080 with HDMI port.

I connected the Samsung monitor to 7770 card using HDMI cable.... so is it because my card doesn't support 1080 for desktop??

However, even if I select 1080p option, I would have the black area around the screen that somehow the graphic card software underscale it....

Any idea how to have a support to desktop on 1080 and not using HDTV settings?

Asus laptop suddenly cannot boot

Hi guys,

Need some advice here.

I have this Asus A42J series from 2010.
Today, after running this laptop for about 1 hour just doing word processing and surfing the internet, suddenly the whole screen went blank.

So I thought my laptop hang.

I pressed power button to turn it off, and then press again to turn it on.

But no picture appear on the laptop screen, no boot to BIOS or anything, hard disk not reading, but confirm got power on.

What could be the problem?

Taking legal actions against contractor(s)

Hi guys,

I would like to ask a few general questions here.

I hope I am in the correct forum for this inquiry.

Recently I bought a house property in Shah Alam.

I've engaged one contractor to handle installing new lighting, fans, air-con, roof pipes, etc, for new house.

However, the contractor did not complete his part of the deal where the agreement was to completed on a said date (30th Sept 2012).

On top of that, I find the work (whether it is him or his workers who did the renovation work) was done not up to expectation.

For example, installing lights onto walls (not ceilings) left debris on the floor, did not clean up, and did not paint back part of the wall that got drilled after putting some cement or some sort of fillings.

Air-con metal grid holder missing of 1 nut to support the grid to the wall was not added despite telling the contractor personally and pointed out to him where the missing nut.

Due to the renovation work delayed, I cannot move in to the new house.

Prior to all these issues, I've been following up with the contractor and also visit my house to see the progress of the work.

Sadly, he did not meet my expectation.

There are more issues, but I just keep it simple by giving a few examples.

So, my questions are:

1. Should I take legal actions against him? Can I sue him for not completing his part of the deal?

2. Or should I make an complaint to National Consumer Complaint Centre and Malaysian Association of Standards Users?

3. Can I ask him for compensation due to the fact that he delayed in doing the work and did not complete all of them?

4. What would be an alternative if non of the above is feasible?

Last but not least, I'm not here to pin point fault on any contractors (no names will be mention or what-so-ever), but the one that I engaged with, he does not seem to be reliable at all.

As a consumer, I have completely lost trust and faith in him in delivering what was agreed on. Also, as a consumer, I have played my part by paying him half of the agreed sum of the renovation work.

So, please, I would appreciate if any one who is sincere to reply my thread and give reasonable advise, opinions, your point of views, within the law.
