Apostrophe key changing last typed char

Yo guys, my new company gave me a machine with a keyboard where the apostrophe key keep changing my last typed char to a char with accent. For example, I typed "The car is really 'cheap' if you know what I mean" but this sentence came out instead "The car is reallý cheaṕ if you know what I mean". I have to resort to use the on-screen keyboard till I can figure out what is wrong...

Hi guys, need your advice/opinions on the specs below.

I am trying to get an average machine that allows me to game comfortably (average to high settings for games like Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, Deus Ex, Civ 5 etc). Nothing much else except for the usual stuff like browsing and so.

Budget wise, I am trying to save as much as possible, hoping not to break the RM3500 line. I gotten the recommended specs below from a SG PC shop (PC Themes):

Guys (photographers/experts on this matter), any ideas why bridal houses kept saying that their photographers hate it when people ask for return of all the softcopies (for free) from the photoshoot? Had been to a few bridal shops/houses and honestly, keep getting a lot of similar excuses when I request for my softcopies (without touch up).

Asides from the fact that they will not be able to charge around RM60-90 for each of the picture that they took - any other reason? Artistic? Or it is just bullcrap in order to charge us more money?

Another reason they appeared on the show was because Britney was afraid that her father was cheating on her.

A lie detector test showed that he was.

Though Morgan denied it, the 18-year-old screamed at him and asked him how he could do it, before figuring out he was carrying out the affair while she was at school.

At the end of the show, Wilkos gave Britney the opportunity to leave her father and go and get professional help with the abuse she had suffered her whole life.

But instead she took her father's hand and vowed to stand by him.

Between a renovated and a basic unit.

Hi guys, I am currently trying to make up my mind on two units in Kota Kemuning. One is a renovated unit (plaster ceiling, lighting setup (bulbs etc), wiring, auto-gate, car park tiling, kitchen extension (and tiling), heaters (around 3 standalone units) + air conditioners (approximately 6 units, not sure of the horsepower etc), and water filter (non of those famous brand). Quoted me at 680k (non-negotiable).

Another is a basic empty unit (pending CF), and quoted me at 580k.

Both are generally the same except for the renovation done, but I am getting conflicting opinions from my friends. Some said that for 100k, the added stuff are a steal and I should jump at it. Some said 100k can renovate the basic unit to something that I truly want.

What do you guys think, really appreciate some advices if possible? Purchasing it for my own-stay unless I hit jackpot in SG.

Bicycle bomb kills would-be terrorist near Jakarta

Computer display going haywire

Hi guys, I am hitting some funny issues with my display recently. Tried to search for some ideas of what went wrong but so far nothing is working. Please advice if you have any ideas what shit I gotten myself into? Thank you.

My issues are:

1. Window header/title is now in a seemingly double shaded black. I did not change a single thing to my display since installing XP ages ago.

2. Was unable to access Properties upon right-clicking on Desktop. For that, I tried using Desktop Hijack Fix and it allows me to access it again but the Desktop tab is not accessible (clicking it will knock me out of the whole window (Display Properties). At Themes tab, selecting anything from the drop down list (currently defaulted at "Modified Theme") will also knock me out. Screen Saver, Appearance, and Settings are working as usual.

3. Internet performance (speed/response) are significantly slower, compared to my brother's Win7 machine. Gaming performance are not affected though.

Tried to scan with updated Avira AV, found nothing. Tried using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, found nothing. Desktop Hijack Fix seems to do the job halfway through only. Tempted to format but I have yet to receive my HDD to back up my current files, and would prefer to fix it if possible.

Police seize blogger's computers over iPhone prototype

SAN FRANCISCO - Police broke into a blogger's home in search of photographs of a prototype Apple iPhone and other material, launching a felony investigation, gadget site Gizmodo and prosecutors said on Monday.

Gawker Media-owned gizmodo.com, a popular consumer gadgets site, said last week it paid $5,000 for a prototype next-generation iPhone purportedly left in a Silicon Valley bar by one of Apple's engineers.

But one of the blog's editors, Jason Chen, said police seized four computers and two servers, an iPad, and other devices from his home last Friday.

According to a search warrant posted on gizmodo.com, the computers may contain photographs of Apple's "prototype 4G iPhone," as well as email pertaining to its purchase, call records, and research on Gray Powell, the Apple engineer who purportedly misplaced the device.

In a letter to the police also published on gizmodo.com, Gawker's Chief Operating Officer and legal counsel Gaby Darbyshire asserted the search and seizure was illegal under California law, because Chen works as a journalist for the publication, protecting him from such action.

Unable to charge my HP laptop

Hi guys - I am unable to charge my 2 years old HP laptop since two nights ago, not entirely what is wrong.

1. Tried to leave it plugged in and powered on but after a while, only the charger gotten warmer while the laptop is still not charged at all.
2. Tried to move the charger around (while it is still plugged into the laptop), once in a while it does get connected and charged but if I move the charger (or laptop) again, the charging stops and I am back to square one.

Any recommendations on what to do? If send it to repair, any good recommendations of service/repair shops in KL or Singapore? I don't have warranty anymore in case you are wondering.

Do you smoke this?

SINGAPORE: Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan has expressed alarm at the emergence of various oral forms of tobacco, also known as smokeless tobacco. These include dissolvable smokeless tobacco strips that give a nicotine fix without smoke.

In light of this, Mr Khaw said there is a need to amend the Tobacco Control Act and a Bill will be introduced soon.

Even the title of the current Act, the Smoking (Control of Tobacco) Act, has to be amended to "reflect the new reality", he wrote.

I am very bloody tempted to strangle and kill my team leader, assistant team leader and probably the cluster head too. 2 more hours to go for the day, and my two MIA team lead and ass-team lead dropped me an email that I need to help finish testing on a program to release by tomorrow morning (9am). I already told them earlier on that I will be heading home early today and yet they seem to pretend deaf again.

How the hell do you guys handle people like these? Seriously, if it is not for the money, I run so damned far away by now.

More and more of my friends are opening their own company nowadays. One group of friends opened a company doing IT services, one opened recycling company, one opened tuition center, one opened laundry service, and etc. Excluding the geniuses who do MLM businesses - most of them seems to be doing quite well.

Question - is it really that easy to be a boss and do your own business / company? Or I am just a slowpoke?

I just got warned by my team leader, cluster head and HR manager for going to lunch with one of my ex-colleague just now. They tell me not to meet up and communicate lesser with the ex-colleague, and when I asked why - they just say that it is part of the standard rules in most companies in SG.

Am I getting trolled here or there is really such a f-up rule in SG?
