What's the norm in paying lawyer fee (property)

does anyone have experience in buying subsale? mine is now at MOT process (still ongoing) and the lawyer asked for full payment (lawyer fee for SPA + stamp duty).

what's the usual practice? should i ask for 50% payment now and 50% payment when everything's done (transferred title)?

My company's insurance currently covers vaccinations. And I don't know what vaccine I had (except BCG (i think, it's one jab in sec school), hep A/B and covid). I was born in the early 1990s - I can only see the current NIP, but what was added since 1990s?

They accept our 1119 English but now the office wants it to be 'verified' via the Cambridge English website.

Last I check, it's only for those Cambridge English test-takers..not SPM people... I wonder if any Malaysians can advise?

GENEVA: The World Health Organization has said it is monitoring a new coronavirus variant known as Mu, which was first identified in Colombia in January.

Mu, known scientifically as B.1.621, has been classified as a "variant of interest", the global health body said Tuesday (Aug 31) in its weekly pandemic bulletin.

There isn't any thread about working in Taiwan/Taipei, so it's really a non-orthodox place for Malaysians to choose to work, I guess

But I've been thinking to relocate to there (not permanently, it'll be more like 2-3 years) because of the perceived lifestyle, food, people, etc. etc. Just to try out.

Generally, I get the good vibes there.

HOWEVER, I think it's widely known that Taiwan's salary is notoriously low. And also the lame Chinaman culture (must work longer than your boss, etc). Those are based on mostly hearsays and media.

So, it'd be great to have a good reality check with people here, if there is anyone here who's/who'd been working in Taipei/Taiwan.

I have been saving from last year and planning to travel (& eat & stay in good hotels) in 2020 and obviously all gone wrong.

Luckily (and I'm syukur) that I have been wfh. I cook & eat, do some home workout.

And suddenly I spend on nothing but food.

Just thinking is everyone (wfh or going back office) the same? Only spending on necessity?

I'm not sure if this even exists - or something that I think *too* much but did any of the Malaysians who worked overseas actually come back (probably though internal transfer) to KL office and get considerably higher pay than the "locals"?

Hello, it's been a while since I visit a government hospital for non-emergency treatments.

I wonder what's the procedure like? Can anyone advise on:

1. I understand I'll need to visit the outpatient clinic first, but I saw online that there's a schedule for specific clinic (e.g. skin clinic on Monday morning), and I am looking for Cardiology clinic for my condition but I don't see it online. Does that matter? Can I just walk-in on a random day?

2. I wanted to do an echocardiology for my VSD condition. If I'm not wrong, I will need to visit PPUM at least twice? (1st visit: the outpatient clinic, then make appointment for cardiology clinic; 2nd visit: Cardiology) Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Scheduled for an interview this Friday. It is going to be an Excel test. The role is a bit like Data Analyst...

What should I expect?

Been preparing by watching YouTube videos.

Current status:
Know the basic stuff like lookup functions, PivotTable and Power Query.
Quite slow in actually applying functions like IFS, INDEX-MATCH. Probably needs more hands-on on those.
