Hi,

Was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I need to know when DVD players became popular in Malaysia. I do apologize if this is not the correct place to post this.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Pioneer VSX919 MCACC

My question is about MCACC on my Pioneer VSX919 AVR. I did the auto MCACC with the mic at ear level on the couch equidistant between the Front right and left. The result was that the front left and right channels were not set at the same level. The level of the front right was higher ( 1-2 db ) than that of the front left. I’m guessing that this is because of the structure of my TV room.

The room is about 13’ long and 12’ wide and opens up on the right to the main living hall. On the left is a wall with windows and a door which I keep closed when watching movies. So the Front left is sort of in a corner with a closed door on the left and a wall behind.

Question is do I leave the front channels at the levels set by the MCACC or do I adjust it so that both are equal. If so, which level do I set them at – the front left or front right. I am having the same problem with the surround speakers. Would be grateful if anyone can help.
