Gearbox Problem and Workshop Discussion Thread

Hi all,I realised that workshop recommendations and reviews are lacking in this forum. Thus i hope that we can share our experiences on our gearbox problems and way to fix them.

i'm currently driving a 16 years old 6th Gen Honda accord (year 2000, S84) with 260,000km on the clock and it is time for a gearbox change.

Problem:
1)Jerk when putting into reverse gear.
2)Jerk when putting into forward gear(1st gear).
3)Jerk when coming to a stop (switch to 1st gear from other gears)
4)Forward gear not engaging even though already switched to "D"

Diagnosis:
All Workshops recommend me to either overhaul or switch to a reconditioned gearbox

How Can I Clean Those EARWAX?

Hi all, i am an owner of Fischer Audio's Silver Bullet...love the sound and the isolation very much
and feel okay with its so-so comfort~ =P
but after a few months of usage (bought it on OCT 2010) i realized that the mesh of SB turns yellowish

the SB's mesh is a filter that is formed by many tinny fibres weave together...there are many headfier who uses H2O2 to soften the earwax then scrap them out with the cleaning tools but i'm afraid the filter might break if i do tht~ any suggestions of cleaning it?

hi all, i'm a newbie in FA's product...got my SB last month
specially thanks to malaysia FA distributor- William
this is my first review of IEM...might not be as nice as taikors and sifus but these are my opinion about the FA's IEM

some sneak peek 1st...because of the REALLY DEARLY CUTELY slow connection of my school ....i gotta find some other time to upload the photos

first impressions:------

these phones looks nice out of the box, they are silvery and jewelry-shiny....the fit is kinda plug and forget type but have to bear with the vacuum
suction when pulling those phones out,they are not heavy for me ...i can wear it for few hours without fatige and the isolation is really nice...
can't hear my friends talking at all when putting them on ...literally i can only see their mouth open and close
microphonic are acceptable when wearing over the ears but quite loud if u wear it straight...comes with big strain relief on the jack which
give you the feel that i will not fail anytime within a year~ even out of the box, it is good to listen. before burn in it has a laid back vocal and
the instrument are a bit front with adequate soundstaging ....however it is enjoyable to listen to.

SCORE BOARD(out of box)

BASS: 4/10
VOCAL: 4.5/10
TREBLE:2.5/10(not harsh but i can hardly hear it T.T)
SOUNDSTAGE: 5/10 (good staging,almost as good as my ex82)

having few schools in mind ...curtin(sarawak),nottingham,etc..
can all sifus show me a way to my glorious future ??

PS:bonus question, can i still go into local U (UTM,USM etc..) with my diploma??

fyi, i love the open and sparkles frm ksc75...juz tat i felt that it's bass is a lil nt enough(open backed)

guys...after few months my urgh coming bac again *$$* this time i wanna buy an IEM
currently i'm using sony walkman ex-82 ( stock IEM for nwz-a728 )...genre are mostly modern pop but
i do listens to kenny g,emi fujita , ken hirai ETC... and some chinese and english oldies a lot..

feels that the vocal of ex-82 is a bit recessed and treble is nt enough, soundstage of EX is enough for me thou...BTW my DAP is sony's NWZ-728

needs recommendation for IEM below rm300 ...thanks XD

(EVO5's SQ really so-so only~muddy and nt clear )
