BB9700 Lag problem

when i use FB on my BB, sometimes it will hang then i have to click the back button and reenter again then only it will load fully. sms messages also, scroll for a while will not scroll anymore then have to click back button and re enter then ok. my memory left is 106mb with minimal application so what the heck is the prob? do anyone face the same prob as well?

BB Desktop Manager V.5.0.1 - Problem

Hi,

I got a problem with my BB desktop manager's application loader function.

when i click the application loader, it prompts me that my version is outdated and need to be updated to work. so I have to click ok to update. Then it downloads about 20plus mb of data then prompts me that " the system has detected an existing BB software manager on your desktop. Pls disconnect/ close it or else installation cannot be continued". So I off the desktop manager and nothing happens. Then I swithc it on again and the WHOLE process starts all over again from step 1. I mean how the hel lam I going to update my application loader's software properly. Download the data oredi, cannot use but to close BB desktop manager. but if close, everything disappear and have to start all over. WTF! anyone encounter same issue?

BB9700 Memory Problem

Hi guys, when i first got my BB 9700, I went to BB world and kept installing applications and themes. Then i realised that my memory left has gone down to only 60mb from 256mb. so i started to delete the applications that I dont want. But after I delete them, my memory doesnt increase at all and stays the same at 60mb. Then when i go to BB world screen, at the bottom right hand side i.e. my world section, it shows the applications that I have installed and uninstalled in my 9700. After I deleted these applications, why do they still appear in my world as uninstalled and my mem still never go back up? what should I do?

How to type properly on 9700?

as i'm new, i'm having a hell of a nightmare smsing via the 9700 tiny keyboard. Is there a technique to use the keyboard to type without making many mistakes? a kind of positioning or finger placement? very hard to use la the keyboard.

BB barcode and profile pic question

2) How I do add my friend's pin via barcode and how do i copy out my barcode to paste as a jpeg?

i got a couple of email accounts and from my desktop, i emailed one account to another and vice versa to try out the PUSH technology of my BB. Heck, it's not even instant. Took about half an hour to notify me on my BB last night. now I'm wondering if the DIGI BIS is actually really doing its job or not. For me, it's not.

BB-9700 Battery Saving Pouch

Is there such thing as energy saving BB pouch? The guy at the mobile shop showed me a BB slot in pouch and said that if i slot my BB into it, it will conserve energy? Got such thing one meh? OK ok due to me being a newbie, I bought it also. So now I'm wondering should I slot in the keypad bottom into the pouch first or the top part of the BB into the pouch first?

Signing up for BIS

hi, Do I need to make a trip to Digi Center to sign up for BIS or can I just give them a call to add on the BIS to my current Digi150 package?

Do I need to load anything from the Digi Center or anything else I need to do to activate Bis? Need to change sim card?

I'm really new to this. My first BB. Symbian user for years. sigh. very confusing ler.

my new BB bold's front housing, the panel just below the last row ( panel below 'space bar') is quite loose. Is it standard for all 9700 models or just my phone housing something wrong?

MP3 Ringtones For Blackberry

I just bought my BB 9700 today and so I'm a newbie to BB system. My question is whether can I use MP3 songs as my ringtones for my BB?

How do I go about it? I'm so used to Symbian that I find BB a bit unuser friendly.

The Star reports:

The Health Ministry wants National Cancer Council (Makna) to be transparent in dispensing financial support to patients.
Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek said the ministry had received numerous complaints from the public on difficulties in getting help from the non-governmental organisation (NGO).
“I strongly hope Makna, as a responsible NGO funded by public donations, will be transparent in its money matters, especially in disbursing funds to help the needy,” he said.
Dr Chua was responding to complaints from the public and several former Makna officials who had quit the organisation citing disagreement over the way the NGO was being run.

In fact I just received this feedback from a doctor who said “I wish you can highlight this in (the) MMR blog. I personally have many patients turned down by MAKNA for aid”
This is the latest in controversial issues Makna seems to be embroiled in.
There was the “Cancer screening” project which they want to embark on, but as the Health Minister said, “The screening has a lot of implications as there could be a false positive or negative. We need to be sensitive in handling these tests and ensure they are done properly.” There are also so-called screening tests which are totally useless and not recommended for cancer screening, e.g. “blood tumour markers” which I certainly hope Makna will not employ.
You will also of course remember the incident when Makna appeared to be taken in by the Lebanese, Elie Yousef Najim, who allegedly pledged 1 billion in donation to Makna, a pledge which never materialised. For sometime, the Makna President seemed to be (perhaps is still?) in denial (see: Makna not giving up yet on promised billion, Makna Not Affected By Elie’s Case, Says Farid, Farid Evades Queries On RM1 Billion Donation Pledge, Makna President Declines Comment On RM1bln Pledged Donation)

I think the transparency issue should go beyond detailing how the funds are dispensed. A body collecting huge amounts of public funds IMO must make its Accounts public for inspection and make sure the external auditors are doing their job. Public funds in any charity may easily be abused for personal gain or rewards (e.g. the recent Singapore National Kidney Foundation scandal).
I said it before and I say it again:
We sorely need a Charities Commission in the name of transparency and accountability
