Parking problem in neighborhood

My neighborhood area got a few apartments along the main road. As a result, a lot of cars park by the main road too. That is fine since it doesn't block traffic. The problem is with cars who park until the edge of a junction exit, even to the point where the car boot is jutting into the road. Some even double park at the junction because the guardhouse is just right in front. These cars are making it really difficult to exit from the junction. I can't see shit coming from my left or right. Always need to inch my head out until kena honk so many times, and motorcyclist will stare cock at me. It's not my fuckin fault that I cannot check for traffic.

I always wanna stick "you park like a fucker" sign on their windshields, but I doubt that will help. Where do I complain for such case? Local council? JPJ? Because lorries park there too. PDRM?

So I just witnessed this with my eyes..

Was driving in a commercial area and a latest gen Vios in front of me turned on signal wanna reverse park into a spot on the right of the road. So ok lo I stop, many cars behind stopped. The thing is.. when the fella stop, I can already tell the car is just not positioned properly to reverse in. True enough the driver failed to reverse in.

While he is reversing, I can see the 360 cam turned on.

Since first attempt failed, the driver repositioned the car to try again. And again, I can immediately tell the fella won't make it again. I watched him slowly reverse in... With the 360 cam on... Wondering when will he realize it... Second attempt also failed. I was just staring at disbelief.. how can you fail to park twice with 360 cam?? This is not even parallel parking bro. The driver gave up after the second attempt.

I'm slowly noticing that the general population's driving skill is worsening.. there are multiple instances where I've seen really really sucky and bad judgement made on the road. Parking is like one of the easiest part of driving, you're the only moving variable, everything else around u is constant, u will only focus on your car, it's a controlled environment. If that also fail, how to drive on public roads or highway where the environment is so much more complex? Scary...

MBSJ Lori Sampah Complain

So the lori sampah guys just requested for angpau this morning from my wife (yes, 1 month after CNY), in an intimidating way. Thing is we already gave during CNY.

What happened was my wife was bringing the cleaner into the house so the outside gate was opened. So happened that the lori came at the same time. 3 of them walked and stood inside my house porch and demanded for angpau again. When my wife said already gave, they said it was a ganti lori which came that day and they are the daily ones. 3 of them refused to leave my porch even after their lori left. My wife felt scared so she went to pack 5 angpaus for them (yes, they requested 5)

Obviously we are not happy at all because we gave the first time and they were clearly trying to take opportunity since the gate was opened. They didn't stop at anyone's house except ours.

I'm under MBSJ, anyone tried to file complain for garbage people before?

Update 1 - 5 Mar
Filled complaint through MBSJ website, current status of ticket when checked from website is "maaf, rekod tidak wujud". Will escalate to the contact which a forumer shared if no response for 3 days since it's their specified SLA.

JPJ Kiosk

Long story short - I need to print my car's VOC but don't want do this during work hours, in which I found an alternative which is through JPJ kiosk machines.

1. Do you guys have any idea where the JPJ self service kiosk is located at in PJ? I tried to search but as usual gov websites are shitholes.

2. Also what time is the operating hours for the kiosk? I hope it's 24/7 because if not, what difference it is with going to JPJ physically in the day.

PSA: Scam call related to credit card

What
Got a call with an automated female voice saying that there was a suspicious transaction performed on my credit card, shared the amount (RM3998), and was asked to click "0" for further assistance.

It's an automated voice which sounded pretty damn legit at first "dear valued customer, we are calling from HSBC bank to notify you bla bla bla"

Checked with my bank and they confirmed that it's not coming from their end, plus they are not using any mobile numbers to call their customers.

Please do not panic and think it through before following instructions from any of these calls. Why would a bank call u from a mobile number and give u a choice whether or not to seek assistance for a suspicious transaction. This is all designed to stir panic and guide the victims follow your instructions while they are in a state of panic. Throw u a crisis with minimal details, then offer u help by clicking 0 for "assistance".

Public Transport Experience

Part 1: Background
So today I had to go to KL city for some errands from lunch hour till evening. Decided to take the train instead of driving because wanted to experience this alternative.

Part 2: Journey to KL
11.30 - drove from home to nearby MRT park n ride
11.50 - parked and bought a token to destination station. Need to change to a different line (monorail) half way, which is normal. But there's a surprise... RM5.80 spent on token
12.30 - reached MRT station somewhere in KL. Discovered that the same token cannot be used for monorail line because not all stations are interchangeable like that. Apparently only work on specific stations. So had to buy another token for monorail. RM2.30 spent on token
13.00 - reached KL destination

Part 3: Journey back home:
16.30 - started my journey to MRT station. RM2.30 spent on token
17.00 - started my journey to home station. RM3.90 spent on token
17.30 - arrived at home station. Decided to buy some snacks before returning home
17.50 - ready to leave for home. Insert parking ticket into machine and payment was RM19.00 for the parking. RM4 for first hour, RM3 for every subsequent hour.

Part 4: Verdict
1. What's up with the non interchangeable token between different lines man. Dah la didn't mention which specific station u need to change at. Duit sudah makan, instructions missing, very Malaysian.
2. MRT quite punctual, about 1 minute delay from the ETA on board. Monorail not very punctual, the train was idle at the station for a few minutes... Open close doors 3 times don't know for what.
3. In total I spent RM14.30 (train tokens) + RM19.00 (parking) = RM33.30 using this travel alternative. I know that there are monthly passes which can help push the price down.
4. Looking at the price, it's not worth it for someone who only takes public transport once in awhile to go for this travel option. The smarter option is to buy monthly passes. If not, you're better off just driving into KL. You're not saving time and money by using the trains, you're just helping to ease traffic and safe the environment.

Problem with signals

So everyone knows that the turn signal in your car is half cosmetics and not really useful right, but today when I was waiting to exit a junction, I saw a kancil coming from my right with it's left turn signal on. Wow! Salute for taking the trouble to signal me that you'll be turning into my junction. Means the road is clear on my right, so I checked on my left, no car also.

Ok clear, I pedal to the metal to exit the junction, as I was maintaining my eye contact on the kancil, I noticed that it's still heading straight.. at me! Straight jam break with bonet half way out into the road, and the kancil also jam break. The 2 old aunties inside stare cock at me, with their signal to turn left into my junction still blinking, they drove pass me slowly, still staring cock at me, while their left signal still blinking... Niamaaaaa at this point I'm sure they are not even aware of what's going on and 100% conlanfirm that turn signals are purely cosmetic with zero function.

Anticipation skill

In light of the SKT case, we've seen people who have confidently mentioned that anticipation is just what's needed, and if they are in her situation, they can easily avoid the whole accident even if it's 30 lajakians speeding in the opposite direction, in the dark, at 3am, on a highway, with lowered modified bicycles which has no lights and under the dashboard line of visibility. How can all other drivers learn from these group of anticipative people? We should start to look forward and think about ourselves now that the standard of driving has increased.

Please share how do u anticipatives do it? I want to learn, and I'll start the ball rolling:
1) drive max 25km/h - Even if got OKU people accidentally skid onto road, we can jam handbrake ma.
2) wear night vision goggles - Riding without lights? Hah! Jokes on you, I brought my own lights.
3) open third eye - Maybe we cannot anticipate because we cannot see enough. Having an extra eye will help.
4) ???

I found this post on fb from KPDNHEP. So it says that exaggerated advertising is not allowed, and they kinda drew the line at 50% resemblance to the real product lol

how do they measure this 50% and will advertisers and business owners get away by including the usual clause of "photo shown is purely for advertisement purposes and may not resemble actual product"

In the past year when I was shopping for a property, I was fkin annoyed at all the 100% fake photos,floor plans,prices advertised by property agents.

Shopee Dispute

Hello all,

I bought an electrical item from Shopee in Dec 2020. The seller claimed that it comes with a 3 year warranty from them, and charged higher prices for longer years of warranty. I picked the one with the longest warranty period, which is also the most expensive.

Fast forward a bit, the item came and was faulty (not usable) after only 1 month of usage. I tried to contact the seller asking them about the warranty and they were silent. Made a report to Shopee for scam after 1 week of silence from the seller and the feedback from Shopee was they cannot refund because the item was received more than 2 weeks and they can only ask the seller the remove that product from their store or remove them from preferred seller. Tried to ask for the contact of the seller but Shopee said they are not allowed to share seller's info.

Shopee's responses were all through calls. I'm planning to write a complain in black and white to get all their responses documented. Question is - is KDPNHEP the right agency for me to file a complain to? Or MCMC?

Does anyone else have similar experiences? Please share so that we know what to do when such issues arises and we need to be aware of all these pro-seller policies which doesn't protect us as consumers.
