All my photos/videos are there including slow mo. Even my photo album those slow mo files are automatically in the slow mo album. how ever when playing the slow mo video, the video is no more slow mo, it was playing like a normal video. I'm confident all my 22 slow mo files are in slow mo while recording and it is in the slow mo album after restore.

I checked the file properties all of them still at 240 fps

Car beyond economical repair (need expert advice)

Hi,

My year 1996 car got stolen, few months later recovered but only minor damage/missing parts :

a) missing recaro seats
b) radio
c) muffler
d) air filter intake
e) dent fender
f) dent front bumper.
g) 1 broken headlamp
h) scratched beyond recognizable chassis and engine number

The rest of the car is considered driveable and still can rolling up and down for the towing. Not a single glass/windshield/mirror broken.

Initially for the repair cost is less than RM 4k (excluding chassis/engine number repair) quote from the panel workshop. Then suddenly insurance offered me full settlement (full sum insured) since the car is beyond economical repair.

Need and expert opinion and views on this. Does repairing back the chassis/engine number required a lot of money?

Hikvision Camera

Hi,

Creating this thread since I cannot find a proper Hikvision discussion. Currently setting up my Hikvision NVR with the PoE camera also from Hikvision. Planning to have a H264+ cam to save some bandwitdh and HDD space.

[attachmentid=9621184]

I have tried using Hikvision and also other ONVIF camera with the Synology, but it was a terrible experience. The surveilance station from Synology seems to be laggy even in the local intranet to access the live stream and the playback video. The Hikconnect, Ezviz and IVMS 4500 are some of the phone apps that we can view live stream and the playback videos. I have tried some other cloud based camera, and it seems to be that the Hikvision is the best to my experience. With a lot of review from the internet/youtube, the camera seems to be easy to find any solution/tricks for us to explore. The motion detection option seems to be a lot of features to play with such as the line crossing detection.

One of the nice thing for the Hikvision NVR is that, it can support 3rd party camera which support the ONVIF protocol so that we can easily enroll to its system. Later we can easily change the settings, activates the live view or setting up the recording.

Some prefer to use the analog which is using the BNC type connection, but I prefer to use the IP/NVR solution since it is scale able and easy integration to the other ONVIF certified camera. The IP cam from HIKVISION is not cheap, what more with the two way audio system and wireless function.

Right now, having the NVR with my wireless Hikvision Cube camera the continuous/motion recording seems to be smooth even on private IP setup such as DiGi. There's no way I can port forward the NVR other than to rely 100% on the Hikvision cloud.

Hi,
I have Huawei B525 (182.168.8.1) router modem with DHCP enabled. Connected to my Tplink (192.168.8.2) high powered router (in AP mode). B525 connect to the tplink to the LAN port

B525 DHCP for IP address 192.168.8.150-200
Tplink DHCP for IP address 192.168.8.3-149

does this setup works actually? because most of my connected devices connected to TPlink AP, but it don't show in the DHCP connected client. Instead it shown in my huawei b525 modem router.
Home Garage

I tried to find the thread specifically for this but no where to be found. Anyway my intention is to build and install a car garage exactly what we mostly see in the states. The space and building is not my concern (approx. 26ft x 24ft) to spare.

As for the garage door opener using the belt or chain drive is not big problem. I can buy directly from the US and install on my own and I do have the step down transformer for that purpose. It just that finding the right supplier and maybe a professional advice/installation for the sectional door. Installation and parts can be tricky and dangerous since we are dealing with a few hundred kg of door and torsion spring tensioner

I plan to use at least 16 by 7ft door to fit in 2 vehicles.

Any review for these company on sectional door garage?

BFJ Global Trade (http://www.bfj-global.com/garagedoor.php)
Gliderol (http://www.gliderol.co.uk/garage-doors/regions/malaysia.php)

the garage plan. it will be built and linked to the house for sure. Not a standalone unit

[attachmentid=3538312]

my very own rough plan using visio

[attachmentid=3550182]

Door installation

[attachmentid=3538317]

Alpine battery draining Issue

Hi guys, need some help over here.

I have the Alpine Media player iDA X303 + Imprint sound processor PXA-H100. Been using it for quite some time and lately my battery was completely flat until 0-1V if left for 1 week.

My checking using multimeter at the bat terminal with charged battery and new battery changed recently

full charge 12.6-12.8V
1 day left about 12.4V
2 day about 12.2 V

I have changed all new amplifier wires+fuse+fuse holder and CONFIRM no short circuit to the body. After thorough investigation, to my surprise the next day I noticed the PXA-H100 is warm even it's fully off (key was at OFF position). the sound processor+HU is fully functional with all those EQ+MX etc. It looks like the sound processor is continously ON even the HU+key is turn OFF.

Please help...
Honda stream 1st gen power steering rack

Hi,

as per title, after been 11 years of service the power steering rack now has a leaking oil which need a frequent power steering fluid topup from low to high level once in a month for the power steering fluid canister. can suggest where to service/buy a recondition power steering rack at a fair price somewhere in KL/Selangor/Melaka? the power steering rack can be serviced by changing the oil seal but it is a tedious task and not all mechanic willing to service it. Don't want to buy at half cut since the problem might repeat again since the oil seal rubber inside might get harden after years of service.

Imprint Sound Manager Calibration

Hi,

recently did the auto calibration to get the flat time response graph. then i upload the setting in curve 1 in Alpine IDA-X303 HU. In IMPRINT/MultiEQ mode where the Curve 1 is stored I noticed the sound was so flat with lack of base. it feels like having an untune HU just newly bought without touching anything the settings. did I missed something here?

[attachmentid=2511745]

If the calibration has been done, does this means the calibration only applicable in Imprint/MultiEQ mode and not in the "normal" mode? In normal mode in audio tab I have all those rock,pop,news etc settings, while in MultiEQ it left only with fader/balance/treble/bass.

faulty amplifier?need some advice

Hi,

recently wanna install Alpine Audio Processor which will be put somewhere in the middle of HU and Amplifier. while tidy up the connection before installing the audio processor, i noticed a possible fault but I'm not sure.

normally 4 channel amp, each channel will control 1 speaker right? well at least in my connection (see pics)

[attachmentid=2508501]

i noticed when i plug the RCA to Left side, CH1, the front and rear speaker is active at the same time. which I believed this is incorrect.

[attachmentid=2508508]

the speaker connection terminal is ok, no wire sharing involved. each terminal has it own 1 wire speaker.

is there any possibility that the Input Mode [1, ST, 1+2] at [CH 1/2], Input Mode [3, ST, 3+4] at [CH 3/4] and Input Channel [1/2, 3/4, 1+3/2+4] at [CH3/4] has to do with the symtom above?
[attachmentid=2508509]

can someone kind enough to explain in simple term for Input Mode [1, ST, 1+2] at [CH 1/2], Input Mode [3, ST, 3+4] at [CH 3/4] and Input Channel [1/2, 3/4, 1+3/2+4] at [CH3/4]???

i wanna change the internal 5th gear from my stock ride (ITR 96 with S80 LSD gearbox)

5th : 0.848, FD: 4.4

change to

5th : 0.787, FD: 4.4 (maintain it)

so i expect i got longer 5th gear and also contributes to a relaxed 5th gear cruising.

is it fully PnP for this conversion?

Changing the Final Drive

As per topic. is it possible to change ONLY the FD from 4.785 to 4.4 in ITR Spec 98 LSD tranny? is it fully plug n play?

reason? since i bought an MPV cruising 120km/h @ 2.3k RPM, therefore i want some relaxation abit while driving on an expressway/highway. cruising 120km/h @ 3.9k RPM on 5th is just crazy i wanna lower abit the RPM and i know it will sacrifice abit on its acceleration/power.
