Undetermined problem in Windows

My Lenovo Y510p stopped booting yesterday after it crashed and it takes 30 minutes to boot up and be unusable. This made me reinstall Windows. However, after reinstalling Windows, There is a massive performance drop where doing almost anything will freese the computer, including switching tabs, opening or closing a program.
The CPU utilization is not over 5% and ram usage is less than 30%.
Anyone has any idea what could cause this?

Specs:
Intel i7-4700MQ 2.40Ghz
1 x 8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB Hard drive
Intel Gma4600 + Nvidia Gt755M

Windows 8.1 activation problem

Hi guys, recently I installed an audio driver into my Lenovo Y510p and since that time on wards Windows got deactivated and prompt me to activate it.
However, in the activation screen, pressing "Activate" show "Windows can't activate. Try again later". Entering a new product key shows that the key does not work where I have two keys (one OEM and one bought from Microsoft).
How can I activate my Windows back?

Today, as i connect to the house wifi, i can only enter facebook but not other sites, i thought that this is strange and maybe its the router's problem until i connect with my mobile broadband. I still could not surf other sites. Anyone has any idea how this happens?

Hi fellow forumers, I recently applied for a foundation programme in UTAR and I am asked to do an architecture portfolio since I want to take up the foundation programme for the architecture degree programme in UTAR. I am wondering how do I create an architecure portfolio since I've never done it before. Googling through architecture portfolio only makes me even more confused to the term portfolio. Is there anyone here who can tell/teach me what do I have to do to create an architecture portfolio?

Streamyx modem problem

Hi
I am using a Innacom modem provided by Streamyx and I always encounter these problems on wifi.

1. Not able to use Streamyx. All WiFi devices connected to the WiFi modem will not be able to use the internet. There is an exclamation mark on the wifi icon on my laptop. Only the cable connected computer can use the internet
2. Sudden disconnection. While playing online games, it will just disconnect from the game. But then other programs that uses internet still works fine.
3. Unable to enter 192.168.1.1. The net is running properly. I can ping to 192.168.1.1. But can't enter the 192.168.1.1 page. 9 out of 10 times this will happen.
4. Super high ping. Ping to 192.168.1.1 can be more than 60 sometimes.

Any advices from experts? Or maybe just change ISP since Time is having roadshow at my place? Or just change the modem will solve it?

Windows 8.1 problem

I had a problem while using Windows 8.1.
This Windows version came along with my new laptop (Lenovo Y150p) and there is something weird about the UI.
The interface is suddenly zoomed in including the date and the start menu.
I found out that this happens when I run a Java application (was using KeepVid when this happened)
The screenshot is in the attachment.
I hope that someone over here have the same problem as mine and can give some suggestions or even a solution
Zooming out does not help.

Question about switching from distortion to clean

Usually, we switch from distortion to clean and vice versa by pedal right? But from this video, the player flips a switch on his guitar to do it. I am curious about that switch, can anybody tell me what is it?

Hi guys, my Pc died while converting a video. Some says that my computer got overheat but ai think it was not the case because I had changed a larger casing and a better fan. The computer can convert videos before I change the casing from a smaller one to the new one.
This are the specs of my computer.

Video problem

Sometimes when I watch a video from my iPad, it freezes at some points. This happens on videos from the net or video in the disk. The video freezes but the audio still goes on. Not all video have this problem. How do I fix this?

I have the 4Mbps streamyx. It starts to lag starting from 6pm everyday. Before 6pm everything is running smooth. Is it possible to solve the problem?

Dilemma

I want to get a new electric guitar. My choice is Ibanez RG350QMZ because of the finish. I heard that the RG350 had good reputation.
The only problem is they do not sell them here. Is there any guitar out there that have the same body shape and finish around RM2k.
If not, i might consider buying it straight from Japan.
