Asking bout current weather in Kuantan

Morning all,

just want to ask if there are any one here who lives in Kuantan, how is the weather there ya? lately monsoon season so lots of rain but is there any chance of flood?

I have to go outstation in Kuantan for 2 days starting next monday and since I haven't been to Kuantan in like 7 years, I thought maybe I could bring my wife and kid go jalan2 there while I'm at it. I also want to finish off my annual leave since already reached limit to carryover to next year.

would it be safe to spend the week in Kuantan next week? (22/12 till 26/12)

Oh and also, what are interesting stuff to do there for families ya?

House value less than total loan owed to bank

Hi all, I have an honest question,

I bought a house for RM 180,000 few years back and is now valued about RM 240,000.

I then received a call about a job offer which offer much better than my current job (where i have worked for the past 5.5 years with only RM 150 total increment and increasing workload ) and I want to go for the new job offer but that means I have to relocate as the new job is in a different state.

the total amount of money i owe to the bank including interest is about RM 380,000. if i sell my house for RM 240,000 it would be more than enough to cover the principal of RM 180,000 right? but I would still be RM 140,000 short.
I am not from finance background so am not familiar with these things.

Can anyone suggest me a way out of this situation? any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

hi guys,
i need you guys opinion, just wondering is between RM400 to RM450 saving a month (after deducting all bills/food/home loan/edu loan/toll/fuel/internet) good enough?

the reason is that i'm planning to buy a car to replace my 18 year old kancil (lately has been a little problematic this car ).

currently, without new car loan, i get to save average RM1,100 per month.
if i buy this new car, i will be left with just RM400 a month (already taking into account of the new car's fuel consumption and maintenance estimated costs)

is 400 a month reasonable or should i just go with "plan B" and get a 250cc motorcycle/scooter instead?

question abt developing iOS app in Windows

Hi fellow coders,

i have a question:

I have completed about 75% of my iOS (Objective-C) training at my work place and I have since used my company's iMac for development.
The problem is I can only do my training at work because I don't have an Apple computer at home to train on the weekends.

I have google-ed about this problem and some say its possible through VMWare or Marmalade, and some say i may face compatibility issues.
So I would like to hear opinions from other coders here in lowyat before I make a macbook purchase (which costs around a damning RM5000 by the way. almost the same price as my motorcycle )

Any opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

How to delete html tags in mySQL?

hi, i have a mySQL table which consists of a column named "questions".

The problem is, in this column there are data containing html tags like: "<p>", and almost all rows have html tags.

Is there any way to delete html tags from all rows in one shot? Because I have just migrated about 25,000 rows .

any advices are very much appreciated, thanks.

Hey guys, like the title says, I just bought a used 2001 Perodua Kancil 660EX but it didn't have a tachometer.
Sorry i tried the search function but didn't find anything.
Is it possible to install an aftermarket tachometer? In my opinion, it is not exactly necessary to have a tachometer, but I just use it to know what my engine is doing. It would be great if u guys could give me the prices too. I don't need those fancy racing tachometers with shiftlights just something cheap and reliable. Thanks .

Ok i need ur guys opinion on a few bikes here. My situation: i work in KL but am seriously fed up with the traffic jam hell and please don't tell me to take the stupid and unreliable public transport. i dunno about other places but here in seri kembangan especially, they are the worst .

i am more of a 4 wheel kind of guy and i'm an absolute noob when it comes to bikes . I have never been interested in bikes, the only reason i'm considering one is because it's cheap and i won't get stuck in traffic jams for hours.

i think i'm more of a casual / pakcik rider so i don't really care about top speed / can it beat rxz? / can upgrade this and that? / bigger sprocket / slip-on exhausts and stuff i don't even understand lol ..

Here are the bikes im considering(the cheaper the better ) and what i think about them; still need u guys opinions tho..

1) Modenas Kriss MR1 (Cheap, my grandpa's '98 kriss still lives until today and seems quite reliable)
2) Suzuki Smash V115 (good all rounder, but dunno bout spare parts)
3) Honda EX5 Dream (also very good but extremely popular among bike thefts, requires military grade locks)
4) Modenas CT110 (some say it's not so good, but dunno from which aspect exactly is it not good)
5) Honda Wave 110R (my favourite design of the five chioces especially from the back, but dunno in terms of reliability or other aspects)

Any views or opinions from senior bikers are very much welcomed!

hi i got this error when trying to execute the trigger: "4098: trigger 'SCOTT.MYTRIGGER' is invalid and failed re-validation"
i checked my syntax but all seems right... anyone knows what the prob is?
