Hi, I've searched thru the forum & cant find such a thread, is it appropriate to start a new thread? Recently, during these tax holidays, many is gettin a new car, including me. Planned to get a civic, but its oos, current market stock is not sufficient for its demands. Went on to Hyundai Ioniq, it does have 2 variants(more exp with more tech, cheaper with less tech, both same engine/transmission), & year make either 2017 or 2018.

My Q is, do u recommend me to get a 2017 RM102'500 or 2018 RM106'000? Assuming both car has identical spec/hardware, its just the 'year make' difference.

Tuition for Std 3?

Hi. Im looking for an alternative tuition teacher/centre for my 9yrs girl, she is goin 4 her standard 3 next year, chinese school sjk.
Im located at cheras/ampang.

She was attending a tuition centre at ampang for 2yrs++, but recently, her teacher upgraded her scheme from RM250 to RM600(last time only teach 2 subject once a week, but now wants 2 teach 6 subject daily).
Parents were not allowed 2 choose subject anymore bcos according to her, goin for standard 3 is extremely difficult, & must cater for all her subject.

The charges is RM100/subject, so 6 subject is RM600, including 1 or 2 meal(foc). Sometimes they got outdoor activities(kite-flying/bicycle riding). I asked around & found out that the fees is a little expensive, so I'm lookin 4 alternatives.

My girl has average-good results during the tenure of the current centre. I'm looking for someone or some centre who can nurture her, with more reasonable prices. Anyone care to comment or shine a light 4 me?

Dear all, pls be aware of scammer who uses 011-26155808 & 016-6065439. Hope this scammer is not in lowyat.net, anyway, pls beware. Here is my letter to my advertising company..

- 2.5.16 - I'm selling iphone 4s at RM390. Lets regard the possible scammer is "B". He/she contacted me many2 time, banked in rm300(Via m2u) to my account, saying will make 2 time payment, 1st RM300 bank in to me, the m2u receipt reference(the column to fill receivers email) was sent to shahrilamirul1993@yahoo.com instead of me. I don't have B's name or gender. B is using 011-26155808. I take this as a deposit to book the item. I reply to B that I will send the item after full payment.

- 3.5.16 - B suddenly says wanna buy 2pc. Never did mention this in previous long conversations. Ok fine, I nvr suspect anything yet, so let it be, i'll send after payment made.

- 7.5.16 - Bank in another RM300 via CDM. B says got 2 more pple wanna buy it, will bank in soon.

- 8.5.16 - Bank in another rm300 via CDM. So now total RM900 paid.

- 9.5.16 - no contact from B.

- 10.5.16 - I'm starting to be suspicious on the deal. Its so weird. All the while, B just WhatsApp me, nvr call/sms. Today, B use another number 016-6065439 to WhatsApp/SMS me. Previous 011-xxx number just Whatsapp, nvr call/SMS. He gave some lame excuses for changing number. Banked in another RM50 & 250 via CDM. All the CDM bank in(7/8/10th May) was done in Klang. So now total already banked in RM1200. Price for 3 unit 4s = RM390 x 3 = 1170. Postage RM18. Total RM1188. But B banked in rm1200. B say still got balance RM12.
I don't dare to send stock to him, I just tell B that I ran out of stock. B asks me 2 refund, I say ok. Ask B to give acc no.

- 11.5.16 - B gave me this account no - Maybank:1140 6724 8080; Name: Ng sheng yuen. I did some research & found out this was actually http://www.mudah.my/owen--ng.

Pls guide me how to proceed. B was asking me to refund RM1200, bank in to "Owen & Ng". I guess B is asking this trader to send RM1200 worth item to him... This is just an assumption, because I had gone thru a similar scam last year..

Until now, he keep threatening me that he already told bkt aman police 2 put me in jail forever.

I got this weird buyer, who paid deposit n then few other payments 2 my account. when asked to provide bank in details, he is not sure the amount/time/location of bank-in made. Also seems he is ok 2 buy any model of phones. I assume he prey for victims to bank in 2 my account, then ask me send a phone 2 him. So those victims will look for me instead, bcos $ has been banked in to my acc. Im not sure what 2 do now. I also aims 2 let lyn forumers to know of such scenarios. It could happens in every trading forum/sites...

1. Asked me n few models like a normal customer
2. States wanna pay deposit RM500
3. But banked in RM270 the next day
4. After 2 days, banked in RM250 & 280; but didnt gave me transaction details(starts 2 get fishy from this stage...)
5. Then another RM300(I saw him posting ads selling iphone 4 at RM300 but no pics & invalid phone numbers)
6. Im bz & uses templates 2 reply him that will send item at 8pm, while thinking over & over again on this issue
7. HE insists me to put in the excess $ in the package, though i asked him 2 give his bank acc
8. I made a story to hold him until 2moro, sent an email to that trading website, & call the trading website 2 verify during working hrs
9. I successfully contacted the trading website, & was informed 2 hold the $, for 1-2weeks, awaiting victims 2 make report on this scam
10. So now he desperately ask me 2 send item or refund $. I almost can confirmed that he is a conman bcos i had met similar cases few yrs back.

So does lyn members has any advise for me on how 2 proceed? He will keep on pressure me to send stock 2 him. But if i send it, im the victim bcos all those 4 victims who banked in RM270, 250, 280, 300 will look for me one day.

How to compress JPEG image for web usage

Hi, may i ask for some help? I own a XP system in my desktop, & win 7 in my laptop. When i take a pic using my camera, the file is jpeg format, 3xx kb in size. But since in many forums, i'm advised to post pics below 100kb, The advantage of XP is that, i just right on the jpeg file n choose edit, that will launch Paint program.
Then i will select Image > Stretch/Skew, n i put in first 2 columns (which is stretch) 99%, i did not fill in anything on the skew column (0 degree, 0 degree by default) > OK, then i saved it, the new file size has been reduced greatly from 353kb to 112kb, without affecting the picture size or qualities.

Since i am upgrading my desktop PC, i will want to use win 7 of course, but i missed this feature because i cant seem to do the same in my win 7 system. If i stretch the JPEG image (99%) using Win 7 Paint, the file size will not reduce like my older winXP system.

Can anyone kind enough to guide me on how to reduce the image file size without affecting its picture size/quality in Win 7? Did u understand my problem actually? Its because i dunno if i explain it clearly here.
