Best ISLANDS in Malaysia

HEY GUYSSSS. So I am planning for a trip for Gawai Holidays next year (June 2015, Sarawakians ftw) with some of my friends and I'm looking to explore some of the islands in Malaysia.

We're mostly college students and there's like about 5 to 8 of us I suppose?

Anyway, I've did a little research and I'm interested to know more about:
- Pulau Redang
- Pulau Sipadan
- Pangkor Island

I'm sure some (if not many) of you have been to these places, so any information is welcomed!
The main thing I'm looking for is food, accommodation and also the price! (in fact price matters most, college students are poor sigh) in order to work out the best deal!

Of course, you're free to drop in any thoughts or review on these places or you could even suggest some other islands (no Langkawi please) that you've been to in Malaysia! Appreciate the help guys, thanks a lot! May God bless you all

EDIT: We're probably gonna stay like a 3 day 2 nights or 4 day 3 nights? Traveling from Kuching, Sarawak!

Gated & Guarded Landed Property

Hi, recently, I have change my target a little bit, want to see if there is any Gated & Guarded Landed Property in PJ/KL area, either a link house/townhouse. Prefer close to 2000sf. and within 25km radius from Damansara Height/Bangsar.

I can find a lot of landed unit at subang that is under 500k, I'm not too sure but I think mostly of them are not gated/guarded. It's always good to own a landed unit, but seeing the security in Malaysia.. haih... that's why i prefer condo initially... now want to see if can find some gated/guarded landed property

Is it ok if your wife/gf's male colleague send her home everyday?
I used to fetch my wife almost everyday except the day I work late like 2 nights a week.
She work quite late too until 9-10pm and the public transport at her office is not too convenient, need to spend about 1 and half hour.

Recently we have some quarrel. Then, she stop asking me to fetch her (I woke up, she's gone and never call me to fetch her at night) but instead her colleague sending her home everyday (for about 4 days already)

So, I wonder, is it actually ok that allow your wife/gf to take her colleague's car to go home because it's already late night?
Am i just being insecure or jealous? or it's just normal?

If you are a guy, will you send your female colleague home everyday? (coz it's late night and you are kind of gentlemen?)

New property in PJ/KL

Hi, any new property in PJ/KL area?
I prefer area from mont kiara until damansara perdana until sec17 to ss2 to kelana jaya, include tropicana, kota damansara. but i think not many new development around these area. so, dont really mind if you recommend some other place as long as not too far from it ( like < 10km)
Do you think I can still find house for under 450k around this area? 800sf above
prefer condo with facilities.

ExtJs vs .net

I joined a company recently. Initially i thought i was going to join a .net team but once i join, only i found out that actually i am working on javascript ui framework call ExtJs. It's powerfull, robust tool. i can see the tool got potential to do many things. but the things is ... It's just website UI and just javascript. no backend, no database and other stuff.

before i join, i downloaded some .net ebook, trying to brush up my skill. but now, only i realize i am not doing .net. I was hoping to work on linq, entity framework, etc. but instead now , it's on ExtJs, it's not even HTML5 or Jquery which is more popular in the market and open-source, which might also help me to find another job easier next time. ExtJs need to pay and i dont see many company in malaysia using that. although the manager tell me that the developer is high-paid in state. =_=

so, what do you think? do you think i should give myself something new to learn (it's good to brush up my front end and javascript though) or should i continue my .net journey? i love microsoft product somehow, dunno why. do you think it's worth to let go of .net?

VedelIT VS Manulife

let's put aside the salary wise although manulife do offer higher salary and "seems" better bonus..

how is the work environment and prospect in these 2 companies?
as i see, working in VedelIT(for their client) will have more chance to learn technical skill, but i think there's nothing much to learn about development cycle, project flow, documentation, etc.. coz it's just small company.
while working in manulife can learn all those although i think the work will be less interesting and fun as in VedelIT, but heard some bad info about manulife in LYN, some say boring, some say stressed, some say no life, some say good for retirement.. hmm..

so, welcome for those who was/is working in either company to provide me some useful comment.

Well, i know it's maybe silly or too dramatic... but just something to chit chat, gossip..

have you ever came to this question in your relationship? did you ever ask or being asked about this question? or did u ever wonder it in your mind by yourself?
Will you die for your partner IF there's really such DRAMATIC thing happens?
Will your partner die for you? What if he/she told you he/she wont die for you? what will be your response?

Got offer from 2 companies

Offshore outsourcing company near KLCC
- RM6000
- 13 month salary
- got EPF
- need to pay tax
- work on website (prefer this than internal system)
- near KLCC, jam, nearer, wife working in KL too
- need to pay car park
- no team coz the team is at oversea
- dental : 600
- medical insurance

Non profitable organization at Cyber jaya
- RM100600 annually
- no EPF
- no need pay tax
- work on internal system
- free carpark
- cyberjaya, far, toll fee is high
- have team to work with
- medical insurance : - 1.89% from salary

Any suggestion from anyone? Just want to hear some opinion.

My current company want to relocate to china. I was offer by my current company just about 7k (currently getting 5k) to work in GuangZhou, China.

Things to consider :
- 7k (currently 5k)
- i'm Married (wife cant speak chinese), got a daughter who cant speak chinese too (my daughter with my parents in law now)
- gotta sell car
- package include accommodation (but didnt say to subsidise how many %)
- comp want to pay china social insurance (china EPF , about 20%) , so NO MALAYSIA EPF. But when go back msia, cannot take back the company portion, can only take back personal portion (11%)
- no any other allowance
- not include medical insurance
- no air ticket to come back once a while
- no extra holiday. 12 days annual leave (same as when in msia)
- got chance to work oversea in a managerial role
- i'm quite like my current job nature (but maybe not really like the company and boss . LOL)
- might have chance to look for other job in china (but i heard it's actually very hard)
- KL offer at most about 6k (hvnt got job offer yet)

TM Innocom Wireless Modem on other network

Hi, i bought a wireless modem for myself and want to give my existing TM Innocom Wireless Modem to my gf to use on other network. (not streamyx nor unifi)

i was thinking to just use it as wireless router. But seems i cannot do that, because it must require my username and password in the modem to do so. While my gf ISP login details was already saved in her modem. how can i just connect it to the modem and use as a wireless router?

Prudential VS Great Eastern

hi, recently i'm thinking to get a medical card for myself. i approach by GE and prudential agent. Both are selling investmentlink to me now. Seems it is the trend now? i must invest if i want to buy insurance? =_=

this is so far the comparison i got

Prudential
- Rm215 monthly
- A more experience (but also a little bit lansi) agent. but she tell me that she is very busy but still will work the best for either SMALL or big customer. =_=
- The limit for medical is now at 625k, but will auto upgrade to 1 million after 10 years.
- She say prudential contract is not "Portfolio withdrawal condition" which means, all other company can cancel the policy anytime they want if the market is not good in future. but prudential is non-cancellable contract. I'm not sure whether this is a very important criteria to consider for buying a medical card. but she say this is the most important. any comment?

GE
- Rm200 monthly
- The policy seems to cover more, such as hospitalization allowance, 10k more for accident
- My previous 2 policies is alot from GE, both of it the agent already resign. so, if i buy from GE, the new agent can help me manage the account.
- the agent not as lansi but not so much experience especially in claim
- i saw on internet somewhere that say GE only cover governemtn hospital? i think no, right?

So, anyone can give some comment? or your good or bad experience with either company? or have some advice?

Study in Malaysia (Filipino)

hi, i have a daughter but her surname is different from mine. basically she is the daughter of my wife with her ex-husband. she is not malaysian, she is filipino. she carry the surname of her father. so, i want to know is there any problem enrolling her in school in malaysia? is there difference for local school and international school? what is the procedure?

*just an additional question, what is your comment for a foreigner (filipino) to study in malaysia? international school? local school? does international school teach malay or chinese too? cause else how can the child survive in malaysia?

I search online and found out that the international school in Malaysia is so damn expensive!!
Can anyone recommend some of the more affordable international school in KL?
it would be very good too if they teach tagalog or have filipino teacher that would understand a filipino child.

Condo at Dutamas Area

Anyone can give me comment of properly the best condo to consider around dutamas area?

I think with my budget of around 250-350k, there are
- Duta Ria, Menara Duta 1 & 2, Changkat View, Villa Makmur, AnggunPuri.

went to see villa makmur, it's not so nice as i expected. although the design is not bad, but the lift is so small, no facilities, management is poor, the gym room dont even have aircon or fan, leakage problem. will go to see anggunpuri soon, but heard that it's very jam there and also kinda small.

F**K this doctor!

i'm having this dry lips issue for quite some time. this few days, it got worse where the joint of the mouth, i mean the part at the end of my lips get dry too and cracked when i open my mouth.
so, i went to this doctor at damansara. at 1st, there is a mediviron beside, but i dont want to go there because i do not have good experience with them either. just simply expensive and give you super strong antibiotic. so, i went to this clinic and ask the nurse if the doctor is good for skin problem too. then she said ok. so, i go in and tell the doctor my problem. He react super fast as if he has seen this problem thousand time or it's just a f**cking small issue. so, he just have a look on my lips for 3 second then say, "ok, i will prescribe you this ointment, use it and it will get better very fast, but it cannot be cured. Cause things like ezema cannot be cured." so, i'm not too sure about it and just accept. then i told him another skin problem at some other part too. and he say will give me another medication. the whole session took less than 4 minutes.

ok, then i got my medicine and bill. D*MN! 2 ointment f**cking cost me RM80!! shit!!!!!! 80!!!?? i never knew nowadays so damn expensive to see a GP!!?? i rather see a specialist then!? this f**ckign Dr. subash just want to sucks money! that is why i never have confident for a GP, especially in KL. sorry for those doctor who may see this post. but if you good, please recommend me, i've been asking around for like few years, never get an answer for a good GP in KL.

ok, then i see the box got a "RACUN/POISON" sticker. i ask the girl , are you sure? she clarify with the doctor and say "yes, it's ok for lips" and crossout the "RACUN". ok , then i go back, open the box and see there is a big red bold text say "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY" . WTF!!!! i got scare and went back to the clinic to clarify. the doctor say, "no problem, even you swallow it no problem. the text just tell you to keep away from children" . huh!? i got confuse and left anyway. but i still worry, so i called the manufacturer. And they tell me "it is a strong steroid, and we do not recommend to use on lips, especially lip is so thin!" WTFFF!!!!!!!!!!!

RM80! 4 minutes! 2 ointment! and wrong medicine!!!???? F**K that!!!
before i ask the manufacture, i try to search online, and found the selling price!! CB!!! RM16.90
