PS4 repair\service centre\process info

Hi all,

This info is for anybody wondering what to do next once their PS4 breaks down. This applies to SEA sets(you can search online how to determine where your unit is from, SEA sets serial number should end with a 6A if not mistaken) and is still within the warranty period.

There are 2 service\support centers, KLCC and The Curve. There is also 1 authorized service center in Leisure Commerce Square PJ named MP Global Services Sdn Bhd. I called them and they verified that they do support PS4 repair. I cant however verify their efficiency\reliability.

I went to The Curve on a weekday, early morning, they open for business at 11am. Only 1 other customer was there waiting, the whole process took about 20 minutes.

They will request for the receipt, if you misplaced yours i'am sure you must have registered your unit on the Sony website when you first purchased it. You can use this account info as proof of purchase. Plus the ink on the receipt will fade quickly.

What was the problem with my unit...power supply something or other.

How long did it take to repair...in about 5 days I got an sms(this is how they update you) notifying me to come collect the repaired PS4.

All in all it was a satisfactory experience. I hope this is the case the majority or the time but since I only dealt with them once I cant say.

I hope this helps anybody wondering how to go about taking care of their faulty units.
