Hello. I'll be going to Langkawi on 1 September which is a public holiday (Awal Muharram) and on a weekend.

Should I rent a car online or at the airport? Since it's peak period, I'm worried there will be limited choices at the airport and prices will be high.

Does anyone have any experience on this?

Hello guys and girls. I lost my identity card while travelling.

What is the procedure for getting a new one? Do I need to make a police report?

I lost one a few years ago. How much do I need to pay for the processing fee? According to this article, any lost card history before the fee revision would not be taken into account. Therefore, I'll need to pay RM110?

If I go to UTC Pudu Sentral this Sunday, how long do I need to wait for a new card?

Accident

Hello guys. I'm driving a Toyota Vios. This morning I accidentally hit someone's car at the back. The guy who drives a Honda City braked in emergency and I didn't anticipate so I kissed his butt. I know it was my fault for following his car too closely. My car didn't suffer much damage except the number plate is broken. But the bumper of his car is loose. After negotiating, he said he's going to Honda Service Centre to assess the damage. I didn't object as I was very tense. As you all know, service centre charges are usually more expensive than conventional workshops. What do you think? Should I call him up and tell him that we shall repair it in a workshop? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure whether the crack is there or not before I hit him. He said it wasn't there until I hit him.

The bumper has no dents. Only the crack and dislocation.

Toyota Vios (2nd Hand) or Proton Persona

Hello everyone. I have a question to ask. I'm getting a car, either a 2nd-hand 2004 Toyota Vios 1.5E or a brand new Proton Persona. The problem is that I can't decide between these two cars. I know Toyota fares better in terms of quality and reliability, but it is already a 4-year-old car. So I'm worried that there might be problems. On the other hand, Proton Persona is new and has improved a lot compared to its predecessors. I hope that I can get opinions on which car to get as the prices for both cars are about the same. PC Problem

Hi guys. Recently I notice that my PC keeps on crashing and my monitor goes to standby mode. After the PC crash, I reset the PC. At the Windows Vista bootscreen, I see random colour lines around the screen. After the bootscreen goes off, I see many many white lines. Everything goes to a standstill and I don't have a choice but to shutdown my PC and turn off the main switch. It boots up normally after 1 minute. Sometimes, the whole PC just crash with the monitor on. Sometimes, my monitor goes to standby mode and the numlock indicator is still responding when I press it but most of the time it doesn't. Actually, I encountered this problem a few times before when I was using Windows XP (once in a few months). Recently after I changed my dead PSU to a new one, it happens more frequently (at least 3 times a day). I suspect the problem lies on the graphic card. What do you guys think? Attached is a minidump file which I've just got it after my PC crashed once again. Thank you.
