Before this I played games like COD Mordern Warfare 2 using ASUS GeForce EN9800GT 512MB DDR3 andd for me, it worked like a charm, the game went smooth. Unfortunately, the graphic card is busted now, and i went on and buy a new one recently. A Gigabyte GeForce 9400GT 1GB DDR2 at RM 220 coz of the low cost, and some people say its good. I don't really intend to use the computer much as i won't be home most of the time next year. I haven't installed it yet, but i saw some pretty bad comments (and i mean really bad) about this card (silly me for not checking the internet first) and i'm afraid that it cannot run even mid-end games.

I use an Acer with:

- Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 4300 @ 1.8GHz (2 CPUs)
- 2GB RAM

Plz tell me if i made the wrong choice.

This particular problem started to happen early February... During the Windows Load screen, it will go stuck for about 30 sec and then there would be only black screen. If i managed to start my windows, the screen often becomes like this and not long after that my computer will crash/stuck an the screen blinks... During Safe Mode, the display becomes like below but it doesn't go stuck at all. I brought my pc to a technician but when he booted the computer, it was completely normal. He repeated 3 times but it stays completely okay. After that I went home and it stays okay for abt a month before it becomes busted again. Except this time, during Safe Mode, the display is okay but i still cannot start windows normally and i cannot use my computer until now which is a real pain in the a**

The technician says there might be a problem with my graphic card. My one's Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT.

and.. is this connected to the fact that Windows XP states that my graphic driver is not digitally signed.

pic below:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Machine Spec (don't really know what to write):

Model : Acer Aspire SA90
CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 @ 1.80 GHz
RAM : 2GB Kingston DDR2
GPU : Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT 512MB DDR3 to 590Mhz
HDD : 160GB
ODD : 16x DVD Multi Recorder
OS : Windows XP Professional SP2
PSU : (Checking at the moment)
