Form 6 for Art Stream

Hello all, i'm really confused now after getting my spm results (5As only). the situation is:

My dad always said Form 6 is good because no financial burden, can get into local University. but a few days before he heard from his friends that form 6 is wasting time, and it's not guarantee to get the Uni u want and the course u want. he suggest me to work part time and study college at the same time.

For me, before SPM results, I don't want to go form 6. but after i saw my results, i might not get scholarship, so i changed my mind, and ready to go form6, load will only apply when i go Uni as i don't want to pay that much interest later. when i was ready for form 6 my dad popped out the statement "Wasting time, no guarantee" ><

should i stay for form 6 or go for college and working part time? Is form 6 really that hard for Art stream? FYI: My school chose the subject for form 6-ers, art stream student have to take account economy chinese
