How to fix output at subwoofer?

HI, i have a edifier R501 MKII set...n noticed that one sat isn't working... hooked it to another sats wires and worked...so the sat is still OK...and tried changing the wires and still WORKS.... thus all i can conclude is that the output connection for the red/black wire at the back of the subwoofer is at fault....thus anybody here knows hoW to fix this or to what kind of shop should i go to fix it...or any shops that you might know in shah alam area that can help fix this problem...pls n tq...

Hi there, searching for a 5.1 surround sound system for my PC...first i searched for normal 5.1 PC Speakers....but know am thinking of getting a home theater system off the bat and connect it to a AVR and connect it to my PC.....Now the question is whether a HI FI 5.1 System is suitable as a substitute for a home theater set....

Additional question >>If an AVR already has Dolby n DTS encoding....do i still need a card that can encode Dolby and DTS or I can just use a sound card that has the same chipset ...pls n TQ..

okay ....i bought this 1TB hdd two years agon frm a hdd trader in lowyat...now that i finally finished building my pc ...i wanted to install windows 7 of course....the only thing is that it wont budge from 99% in expanding windows file...i let in on for maybe around four hours n reformatted it using clean all in cmd...went to google for some help....n found these steps might help:-

1.format the hdd using clean all with cmd
2.leave only 2gb of ram
3.try installing from a USB

so first i tried it from the cd...n cant ...then retried it using the usb by opening it through the cd witht he help of cmd... still stuck at 99% in expanding windows files ...left it for 7hours maybe this time n suddenly got an error saying that to make sure that all the files are there or something....pls let me know what i'm doing wrong or what could help me ...cuz i really do not want to spend RM50 to install a windows that i could and should install by myself for free ....pls n tq

Hi..i wanted to buy a large LED monitor for my pc...but the largest i could find was 27" for around 1k and i just realized that LED TVs are also around 1k but 32" ...but can be used via hdmi so why is it that the monitor is as expensive as the TV when supposedly the TV should be more expensive than the monitor..btw these prices are from samsung brands.

Keyboard freezes on BIOS...

Sumbody pls help me out....Everytime i enter BIOS the Keyboard Freezes....this PC is my second rig not this rig....n i juz cleared its CMOS so now very troublesonme cuz cant get pass the starting screen unless i configure my BIOS first ... why i say the keyboard freezes n not the pc itself...cuz to enter the BIOS i hav to press F1 n after i enter it no buttons work.....even pressing the num lock button wont work, this is proven cuz the light wont dissapear....tried replacing the keyboard with this rig's keyboard but still got nowhere....also tried removing the cable n reattaching it during BIOS but still no effect.....

Sumbody pls help me out or I might juz DIE here

MOBO N GCs!

Hi i hav a problem with my rig...all functioning but the visual on the monitor is not there....it is not due to the cable n the GC is functing....the problem is more detailed in this post..click here ... but my question at this post is realated to one of the answers given....
Are there motherboards that does not support new GCs....cuz as i was told by a PC guy who owns a pc fixing store he says there is no such thing all that matters is the AGP n PCIE only...

this is my mobo> Abit IL9 Pro
this is my GC > Sapphire HD 5670

so is it true that my mobo does not support new graphic cards...... n are there supported only GCs for certain mobo...

Water cooling system...

Hi:wave: ... i was thinking of getting started with water cooling...so there was something that i needed to get straight....

1) Te flow of the water that i was thinking of using was like this

PUMP>PROC>RADIATOR>TANK>PUMP

but i found a web where it has a software to show how a water cooling system is suppose to be n the flow was like this...

PUMP>RADIATOR>PROC>TANK>PUMP

my theory is made cuz the hot fluid fromthe proc is cooled first before going through the pump ... i thought that if heat could damage a lot of pc stuff then isn't also possible that heat can also damge the pump so isn't it better to cool the water first before letting pas the pump....so now i'm a bit confused ...sumbody show me the light ..

2) Water cooling system should use coolent ..of course ....but a former water cooling junkie of mine said to use battery fluid ...he said, u know the ones used to refill the battery with....he also noted that it works juz fine...if use coolent it will freeze solid n stick to the tubes....

Is it true ...battery fluid can be used...very sceptical about this ...but if true can save alot of money ...

Hi , I want to find a speaker set worthy of HDMI ...hehehe...

now my board says it supports 7.1 channels but only has 5 round holes n 1 square one...

1) Why only five holes when it says it has 7.1 channels...

i looked up modernopc n found only 5.1 channel speakers...n from what i can tell they hav 5 speakers...

2)Does the # channels represent the no of speakers or something....

From my references (not sifu juz frens) Creative are the best but compared to edifier edifier is whole lot more expensive.... but to me sonic gear was always one of my favs..cuz they are cheap ...

3) So which are the best actually....

My boards says it has leadtek 7.1 channels intragated sumthing like that..

4) So does that means i dun hav to buy a sound card....
