I am using a Dell Dimension 5150 with a DVD burner, 2 hard drives and a fire wire card. If I were to get a Geforce 9600gt, is there sufficient power for the GPU?

If a Geforce 9600gt is out of the question then how about a Geforce 9500gt? Thanks.

Unable to run Msconfig, Regedit, Device Manager

Hi, here is a problem that I have been having for many months already. It has come to a point where it is unbearable because apart from those that I have listed, I also can't run my Diskeeper Disk Defragmenter. The results are all the same, when I try to open it; hourglass appears for a while and nothing happens after.

Recently, I have also realised that I also can't do any changes to my registry via .reg files. The same thing happens, as in when I double click to run it. The hourglass appears for a millisecond then nothing happens. It only makes matters worse because I also can't access my hidden files anymore because whenever I tick show all hidden files, apply and OK; it just looks like everything refreshes but I still can't view my hidden files. When I check back, the options are back to "Do not show hidden files and folders".

I'm pretty sure this is caused by trojans but I have run AVG, Ad-Aware and also C-Cleaner. Nothing seems to solve this problem of mine. I have tried googling for a solution but it seems to involve using HijackThis and requires qualified people to analyse the results.

I would really appreciate it if anyone at all can guide me through this mess and help me solve my issues. I can't resort to formatting because I have 3 users on this comp and backing up is really not an option at all.

looking for Industrial training/internship

Im currently in monash, will be in my 4th year next semester...
Right now im having my holidays til end of feb. I've been applying to so many companies and only 2 responded so far. Only to reject me.

So can any1 help me out if ur an engineer and/or working in a firm that's willing to take undergraduates for industrial training? Like giving me the email addresses to apply to or the phone numbers so i could speak with the HR managers.

I'm running out of time and i'm forced to do it partially now. As in 2 months for this holiday and the remaining 1 month during my next holiday...

Your help here is very very much appreciated.
