Hey guys,

Do any of you have problems logging into Origin lately using unifi?

No problem if VPN is turned on (location set to SG) but I don't wish to always rely on VPN. Tried restarting router but no help.

Make Dlink DSL-2640B router into an Access Point.

Hi,

I have an old working dlink DSL-2640B wireless router and would like to configure it as an Access Point and plug into a network switch which already has internet access via unifi. Just lay a network cable from the switch to the DSL-2640B. Can this be done?

Already tried setting it into bridge mode, disable DHCP and give the router an IP in the same range as the TM unifi router but my wireless devices still dont get internet access when connected to the DSL-2640B. What else have I overlooked? Can any IT sifu teach me how configure the DSL-2640B as an access point? Thanks.

IP Conflict

Sorry to revive this old thread.....

I am in a situation here where I am getting IP conflicts on random PC at my library. All PCs are configured to use static IP. The problem only started today. I have installed Colorsoft AntiARP trial. The IP address and Mac address for 1 of the PC does not correspond. Instead the mac address belongs to another PC on my network. Any idea what does this mean? The PC which I installed AntiARP is still getting incoming attacks (IP conflict). I am not sure what sort of problem I am dealing with here. Pls help. Thanks.

Hi guys n gals,

I am using a Macbook Air & trying to print to a network printer on a WinXP machine. The printer is a HP Laserjet 1020.
Adding the printer was very easy as I could browse it. I've also chked d network path & it shows \smb\pcname\Laser1020, which is correct.
However, once I click on print in whatever app, nothing seems to happen except that the print icon appears on d dock & disappears.

The print log shows: Connection Failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED.

Do you guys know any idea what could be the cause of this problem or what else should I chk?

STEAM Account Issue?

Hi all,

I have not logged into Steam for a few months. Recently, I tried to login but failed. It keeps saying account not found. I can verify my account info & password are 200% correct.
I then 'tried' to retrieve my login info thru steam; it says my user login does not exist.
Then I 'tried' to create a new account with the same name; it tells me that its already in use!
Any idea whats up with steam or has anyone experience this? Nothing useful at steam forums.

Hi all,

Has any body here bought the 570UZ? This camera seems to have great specs but does it live up to the standard? Design and build quality is also very good...way better than the cheap feeling 560UZ. Other sites view this model as more than a point & shoot camera and has DSLR-like capabilities.
I am thinking of trading in my Canon 860IS for this. Is it worth it?

Oblivion Stuttering Problem

Sorry if this has been posted before, I reinstalled Oblivion & I get wonderful framerates at in game max settings running 1280x1024 res. However, I get this annoying stuttering off and on. I googled & found that this is an issue faced by majority ppl around the world. However, I can't find any definite fix for this. Any of your guys in here managed to overcome this problem? I am pretty sure its not my PCs limitation.

Wide Angle on Canon 860IS

Was wondering about the 28mm equivalent lens of the 860 IS, is there any option to turn it off or does it take shots at wide angle all the time? How about the shutter speed? How to manually select shutter speed for this camera? Cant seem to find it in the manual. Any help on this would be great before I go ahead and purchase one.

8800GTS 320MB Shortage?

Hi all,

I've been asking around shops in Lowyat about Leadtek 8800GTS 320MB & every shop says no stock. I made a call to Ban Leong & they told me that there is a shortage. Is this phenomenon only happening here or worldwide? Shouldn't this card be easily available since it has good performance for the price especially when you pair it in SLI mode & running at resolutions not exceeding 1280X1024? Ban Leong cant even confirm when will this card be available. Does anybody have news on this?

This card should run UT3 & Crysis pretty sweet in SLI @ 1280X1024 with medium to high settings.

Kudos to TMnet,

Yet...we see nothing done on the part of TMnet. Numerous complains have been reported to TMnet but mostly fallen into deaf ears. They will either blame your computer or guide you through a series of steps which wont solve the problem. Connection speed still very slow.

I downloaded a printer driver which took 6 hours! The file size was just a mere 42MB. What is this? Yet we are paying RM66 every month! There was a post titled "TMnet cheating users" or something like that! I am beginning to believe its true.

Phone cables have been changed, network cards have been changed, modems have been changed, PC freshly formatted. Still connection is slow as a slug.

I am just....lost of words and very disappointed with TMnet Streamyx service.
