The model which is released at Taiwan comes with 6GB RAM Nvidia GT645M and weighs 1.88kg. Does the better GPU causes the greater weight or is the information from the indonesia website inaccurate? Can't wait for Asus Malaysia to release this product.

After Asus announced new Zenbooks last month, one of the model that I am interested is Asus UX42VD. I've been searching for information about this ultrabook constantly and I've found this today from an indonesia website, just sharing with you all.

This model which Asus is releasing in Indon comes with following specs:
Intel Core i5-3317U
Nvidia GT640M
14' inch 1366x768
4GB RAM
750 GB HDD + SSD 24 GB
DVD optical drive
Win8
1.7KG

The RRP is about RM3399 (converted).

I think Asus Malaysia will release this model with similar specs. Though i hope it will come with higher specs like i7 and GT645M just like announced. Too bad no full HD IPS screen. For a ultrabook with decent GPU and ODD i think it will be a sweet deal if the price is good.
