Hello everyone,

Do you know anywhere there's a public open area with tar road suitable for a motorcycle practice by my own ?

Not really into speed but maneuvering, turning and so on. I'm looking around Klang Valley area if possible.
LVM2 on RAID-1 Anyone?

Hi everyone,

Im just a noobe in Linux world, I would like to ask if have gurus out there for advice

1. Implemented before LVM2 on RAID-1?

2. While there be a problem with RAID-1 when reducing an LV size when i intend to remove a PV which is faulty physically?

3. When i remove a PV when reducing an LV, where there be a need to take out the MIRROR disk as well since RAID-1 (is 1-1 on disk mirroring?)

4. I don't think the raidsetfaulty can help when in a partition where:
-->/dev/hda1 /boot
-->/dev/hda2 (which is also /dev/md0) is LVM2 --> / partition
-->/dev/hdb1 (RAID-1 mirror disk)
Here' if i said raidsetfaulty is /dev/hda2, does it make sense when i say i can take
out /dev/hda2 and replace another new /dev/hda2? Hahaha it's funny but it's true.
I did that on Slackware 10 only however.

Another question, what happens if im doing an encrypted root filesystem such as DMCRYPT/LOOPAES. Wut will happend when i do RAID-1? Hmm, im very curious.

Oh yes, IM doing a software RAID actually. What i did was on Slackware 10 , Fedora Core 1 and RedHat Enterprise AS 3.3.

Kind Regards,
dragoncity99
