is it possible to switch file extension ?

hi /k , is it possible to switch my file extension from .rmvb to .divx and just burn it on a dvd player and watch it on a divx dvd player ?
i tried changing the file extension from .rmvb to .divx and am still able to watch the movie on the computer .

I recently got a very cheap deal with buying a TV in the US .
I want to import it to Malaysia .
I would like to ask whether are TV's in the US usable in Malaysia ?

Also , do they charge tax for the TV ? If so , how much ?

Computer Overheating

I purchased a computer a few months back ,
and I always go on a vacation and leave my computer on for months .
However my computer sometimes shutdown by itself due to overheating .
Is there anyway to overcome this problem ?

[help] Problem with graphics card

Hi ,
I own a ATI RADEON HD 6970 . It's a pretty high end graphics card I suppose that would support almost all games with ultra settings .
However , my graphics card does not seem to function well in games ( like League of Legends ) . It takes 45 seconds to load the game everytime I ALT+TAB in and out and it has pretty low FPS .
However , once I attempt to update my driver , everything would work as normal again ( ALT TAB loads in .5 seconds ) no FPS lag . Every time I restart my computer , the problem comes back . I'll have to roll back my driver and reinstall the latest driver again to get a smooth game play .
Does anyone know what is the problem going on ?

Hi , recently I imported 2 MBA from USA .
My item was held by the customs and I was told to apply for a SIRIM Permit for me to import them into Malaysia .
May I know what are the steps I should take to apply for the permit and the cost to apply them ?

I've recently shipped 8 packages from US to Malaysia .
It's currently in the process of shipping by DHL and now the tracking says " 13 Clearance delay SUBANG - SULTAN ABDUL AZIZ SHAH - MALAYSIA 10:05 PM "
Does "Clearance Delay" means by package is being checked by customs and I need to pay tax ?
Can anyone that's experienced with this help me out ?

KLANG: The father of the medical student who plunged to his death in Penang believed it was due to relationship problems.

Dr Ko Chung Beng claimed that his son, Steven Ko Yiu Hing (pic), 24, was dejected after deciding to give up his relationship with a girl.

Dr Ko, who is a skin specialist, said his son had been seeing the girl for a month, who also happened to be an ex-girlfriend of a friend.

Recently, the friend had expressed his intention of resuming his relationship with the girl and Steven decided to give way, said Dr Ko.

The trio had spent more than two years studying medicine in Ireland before returning to complete their studies at the Penang Medical College.

“He (Steven) had sent an SMS to the girl saying that he did not want to give her any trouble or pressure her. He advised her to watch the movie Casablanca,” he told reporters at the wake here yesterday.

On Thursday, at about 2am, Steven's body was discovered sprawled on the ground floor of a shopping complex by three restaurant workers.

He was believed to have fallen from the fourth floor of the car park where his BMW was parked. He had gone to the complex at about 4pm on Wednesday.

Casablanca is a 1942 movie starring Humphrey Bogart, Paul Henreid and Ingrid Bergman set in World War Two. It features a love triangle between two men and a woman with Bogart's character giving up Bergman.

Dr Ko, who has a daughter, blamed himself for not spending enough time with his son when he was going through an emotional phase.

In GEORGE TOWN, police are pursuing all angles, including relationship problems that could have led to Steven's death.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said Steven did not leave behind any note.

“Police are ascertaining whether there was any foul play,” he said yesterday.

The case has been classified as sudden death and police have surrendered his belongings, including his car, to Steven's family in Klang.

Problem with computer graphics

I recently purchased a new rig , and everytime I play a game or play a youtube video ( even low end game ) it lags badly .
And once I updated the computer , everything goes back to normal . After the next restart , the problem occur again and I have to uninstall the latest graphics card driver and reinstall it to bring it back to normal .
I'm fed up of doing the same thing everytime after I restart my computer , and was wondering if any kind LYN members could help me out .
My computer specs are as follows :

ASUS AMD Radeon HD 6970
