ISP tech charged RM80 to replace fibre connector

So my rented condo lost internet connection last night. The tech contractor came and found the cause, the connector in the telephone riser near the lift lobby was broken.
He said this is the condo's property so he can't simply replace it, unless I pay him RM80 (I googled the connector, I think its a fast connector? Rm5 on lazada). Since I didn't want to bother, just paid him.

Is the stuff in the riser really the condo's property and he's not really supposed to do anything with it? Really bummed but rather lose rm80 than having to go to office (me and wife both still working from home).

edit 2: okay so he was telling the truth (the condo / property / building own the equipment in the riser, not the ISP). Hopefully this helps others who's curious, no need to go through the rest of the crap here.

My significant other has recently resigned (currently serving notice period) and their employer wants to pay their salary through checks instead of the regular bank transfer. The checks can also only be collected at a different location, not at the regular office where they work at. The employer is a contractor, so their office is at a different place. Is this legal?

Currently driving a 2006 Getz but may need to give the car to my little sister since she got a job somewhere far. Coincidentally I was also thinking of getting rid of the car because Im rather tall and need something with a little more legroom.

I have narrowed it down to these 2 (unless 318i actually has cheap maintenance) with a little bias towards the City because its slightly smaller, easier to park. The ones on Mudah and Carlist all have upwards of 150k mileage but they should still be OK right? Also, must be auto because KL.

Not thinking of doing any modifications to engines (no blacktop lel).

Should I get the Honda or Toyota (or BMW)?

Can anyone recommend me a good electric guitar? I dont really care about the type, but i prefer those TOM-like bridges rather than tremolo ones. Also, i'm leaving malaysia to study early next year, and i dont really want to bring it with me, since i'm taking my gaming rig with me lol. too much luggage drives me mad. that means i need a guitar with good resale value, so i would have some money to buy a guitar in australia. so, any thoughts would be appreciated.
