4GB ram but only 3.68GB usable

my laptop come wif oni 2GB ram..i add on another 2GB ram..but its oni say tat 3.68GB usable out of 4GB..wat hell is going on???
and i m using 64bit not 32 bit..my frend suggest to recovery again may see the pro solve..any idea??

how to boost up My Acer timeline startup time?

i jz bought an acer timeline 4820TG a week ago..but now the start up time is 3min..the time is count
after the time i press the power button until finish run up all the start up program included my anti-virus
trend micro and msn ..My ram is upgrade up to 4GB..and i try to minimum my start up program...is tat
the start up time normal for my new lappy???any way to boost up the speed??

i wish to buy a new laptop wif my limited budget which is RM 2500-rm 2600..i had aim a target tat is acer timeline 4820TG
i5-460M
ATI 5650 1GB
2GB ddr3 ram
it's really satisfy for my requirement..but 1 thing i worry is bcuz its too thin..
will it generate heat faster den other models??
but the spec is attractive..i oni worry abt the brand (many acer user complain) and the heat emission...
any1 using tis model?? can help??
