Interviews with Major companies.

Most major company hire an extrenal HR agency to select talent. I'm just wondering does the HR agency have any say in the final selection or is that left to the company itself? For example if the HR people like you alot, is there still away for the major company to disregard you with respect to not having enough experience etc.?? Also what is good etiquette after an interview?

Finmeccanica Fhink program

hey guys. Have any of you guys heard about the Fhink program offered by the italian company Finmeccanica? http://www.finmeccanica.com/Holding/EN/Cor...aster/index.sdo

Anyway the deadline expired, but I applied earlier and got selected for the trip to Rome. Did the assesment and am currently waiting for results. I just want to know if anyone here experienced the assessment or acutally did the program so I can compare notes. During the presentation they told us from 6000, 200 were selected to attend and from the 200 only 32 would be selected. competition was tough

baker hughes phone interview

hey guys, just wanted to give any baker hughes applicants a heads up on the type of questions they ask. I did my interview a few days ago and these were the questions the lady (Andrea) asked:

1rst - Why are you applying for this position? (graduate field engineer)
2nd - How would you contribute to baker and hughes?
3rd - What is something negative about this position and why?
4th - What do you hope to gain from this opportunity?
5th - Would you rather disassemble and reassemble a machine or analyze data for failures?
6th - 3 scenarios: 1.)good job, bad location. 2.)good job, good location, long hours. 3.)good money, lots of travel. Which one would you choose?
7th - Do you have any questions for us?

Thats pretty much it but they also had some visa questions in between. I strongly suggest to prepare in advance before the interview as there are ALOT of applicants applying and the recruiters are struggling to filter out the people who really want it from the useless ones. Prepare atleast a paragraph for each question!! and practice your responses so as to get really familiar with the answers. Inside sources told me Baker hughes is looking to hire a large number of graduate applicants so if you really take the time to prepare for the interview, you will pass to round 2. So all in all remeber to speak confidently, talk slowly, emphasize your strong points and most importantly relax!! good luck
