Need help from website designer/developer expert

Hello. I need some advise....

I hired a freelancer to help redesign a website for me, its laravel framework.

Halfway through, he said he needs to start from scratch because the file composer.json file is missing. Missing because my developer who was handling the website last time said he deleted it long ago (the original file) since the website was done and the file is no longer necessary.

Developer told me this file is not needed anymore to make changes on the existing website. Freelancer is telling me he needs it, since it is the 'base file' to input the new changes and plugins.

Now freelancer is saying he has to start from scratch and build the entire website from zero. Developer is saying that is BS and freelancer is just trying to con me. Developer is managing his own technical team, while freelancer is a techie who I hired directly on a freelancer platform.

No idea what to do now. Can anyone advise who is right here?

Also if anyone is a designer and experienced with Laravel framework, we are open to hire as well.

Hi,

Can anyone or does anyone here deal with penny stocks in USA? I know there are many brokers but is there a reliable one which is regulated and has good service (including for Malaysians)?

I trade stocks but my broker does not offer any penny stocks...mostly blue chips. I want to put $5000 into 10 penny stocks and wait, but not sure which broker can fit my needs.

TLDR version:
Cat has been alone for 4 years with me, now is quite aggressive and territorial and I need to try and make him friends with 3 other cats at parents house - what is the best way to assimilate this cat with 3 new cats? Any one can explain the process?

Hi,

If someone can please advise me. I have a male cat (British shorthair/persian mix) for the past 4 years now. Very affectionate and playful, but now that I work long hours he is alone at home for more than 12 hours per day....this is the past 6 or 7 months now.

Just last week I tried to take him to my parents house (they have 3 cats) in the hope to make him friends with those 3. So I asked my parents to keep their cats locked in a room first, and let my cat sniff around and explore the house first to get used to it and then later introduce the 3 cats....1 by 1.

What happened next is bad. He was busy sniffing around the whole house, seemed to be enjoying himself exploring....but then went behind the curtain and sprayed the curtain. Obviously marking territory. I went there just to see the curtain to wash it, lifted it up....and this guy started going nuts. He started that moaning noise (loud and threatening) and backed me into a corner. Then my parents were sitting on the staircase watching, we we all tense. This guy kept moaning and trying to attack me, I tried to speak softly to it but not working. I asked my parents to go up to the room first, when they started moving upstairs, the cat saw them go and suddenly attacked my dad. Lots of scratches and after getting hold of him I threw him into a room (with his stuff, cage, litter, etc) and closed the door. The 3 cats there were still locked in a room upstairs!

I went into the room about 20min later to see if he was calm....and he seemed fine again for 2 minutes. then he smelled my feet and again....the threatening moaning and noise started. And I tried calming him down again for 15minutes!!! My reward was 2 more attacks, lots of scratches on 1 arm. I had to use smth to put between me and the cat and slowly leave the room and close the door again.

Obviously I made a mistake not acting by giving him some slaps. Since I never hit the cat thinking it won't help, I tried to make it calm down but it made things a lot worse....since it just became more angry and aggressive and finally attacked.

Next day straight went to the vet, vet recommended to castrate since he has a stress issue....when young it had the crystals and had trouble urinating. But for few years now its fine since am feeding the urinary S/O dry food. After describing what happened even the vet said he is very very spoilt and I should hit it (with a newspaper or towel) if it shows rage again.

So I got him castrated 2 days ago. I held out so long because I felt bad castrating him since his 'aggressiveness' was part of the character. But what happened that evening was a nightmare none of us thought could happen.

Now its back home and the past 2 days, back to his normal self. Very affectionate and no sign of aggressiveness.

My question is....how do I make him assimilate with other cats? Past 4 years he's only been alone, at times in pet shop during boarding with other cats (but no contact of course). Can he start living with other cats?

What's the best way to do this? Because the other 3 cats....1 female, 2 male (both castrated) are fine with each other, and my worst case scenario is if he suddenly attacks one of those and injures them - my parents will never forgive me.

Is there a way to introduce slowly? I was thinking of putting him in a cage and let him be in same room with them for few days....but what's the guarantee that his frustration is not building and when let out he goes crazy again?

I don't want him to be living alone for the rest of his life. Especially if I have to leave the country or go overseas for many days.....leaving him in a cage in petshop is just very sad for me.

So I'll just say it. If anyone here might have an idea and could advise.

I'm a non-muslim with a muslim gf. She's not malay but of indian origin. Both of us are malaysians.

If we were to get married outside the country, would I still have to convert? She does not care about conversion, but said if we were to marry in this country there is no choice, true. But if we get married outside, I understand our marriage is not "legal" here, correct? So in the medium/long term prospects we would both need to migrate to another country so as not to live in fear of Jais and stuff the whole time?

In a conundrum about this, if I'm wrong in anyway or there's loopholes I'm missing, appreciate your feedback.

Need advise on sick cat

Hi, I need help.

Am really depressed right now, my cat which is barely 2 years old is having urinary tract infection. At least this is what I think it is, went to the vet today and he gave the medicines and antibiotics....he said the tract is not blocked yet since the bladder is not full (and I still see small puddles of pee around) but to always monitor next few days.

This was about 10 hours ago. Now the cat is quite inactive, eats well but just sleeping a lot and was even panting for 5-10 minutes earlier which really scared me. I am so worried and don't know what to do, I feel so helpless. Any vet here can let me know the chances for recovery? Is it just patience now or is there anything else I can do?

Appreciate any input.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place but am looking for some guidance. I have a few pound notes I want to change, so far have gone to three money exchangers, all three says these notes are too old and I must go to ENGLAND to change. Apparently these notes are about 4-5 years old and now UK is using new notes!

How ah.....anyone knows anyone/a branch which could help me out here. They are still of value and in use in UK today! Any help/advice appreciated.

Anyone well versed with insurance, could you pls help me clarify the attachment below. Just bought this policy but I saw the schedule of benefits of the medical card and it shows something a bit concerning.

From my understanding, "deductible amount" means the amount I will have to pay correct? For example, first 90k for medical charges here is what I pay...and then on top of RM90k, is covered by the company?

However, it has Medical Benefit 1 which shows "initial overall annual limit" is RM90k. So this means the first part of the benefits of this med card; 90k WILL be covered by the company. Then what is the meaning of medical benefit 2 where "deductible amount" is 90k??

I called GE earlier to clarify, the customer service said the company WILL cover first 90k, and smart extender means if the charges go past 90k, they cover the additional charges over 90k as well. But this sounds too good doesn't it...you get 90k coverage and then if need more they will cover up to up to 900k? Then why separate into two parts? I'm worried this person is wrong and if I get into a major accident/condition I will have to fork out 90k even after paying premiums for insurance??

Any clarification on this is greatly appreciated. I have a free look period for another 10 days left....if I was scammed I need to know quickly so I can cancel policy.
