Transferring foreign currency locally

Hi all,

Can I transfer foreign currency from a local bank's foreign currency account to another local bank's foreign currency account without conversion?
* both accounts are mine
* both accounts are in same currency

I have checked with 2 banks but got conflicting information.

Meanwhile, BNM's website says:

Payment in foreign currency between residents

A resident is free to pay or receive foreign currency (FC) to or from another resident for the following:

Any purpose between immediate family members;

(Is this the website for the information I'm looking for?)

I'm going to check with my banks again but I thought I'd ask for advise here first.

I'm curious if the amount will be converted to MYR and then back to foreign currency during a transfer.

Please share your experience.

Not receiving SMS from Microsoft

Guys,

When I tried to link my phone number with my Microsoft account, I was asked to enter a code that would be sent via SMS.
However, I didn't receive any SMS.

The issue is occurring on Celcom, onexox, Yes 5G and U Mobile.

I wonder if anyone else is facing the same issue?

Edit: Previously, I did not get SMS from Google as well.
After some trial and error, I found that the cause might be my number being newly MNP.
I tried only Celcom when I was creating the thread.
I have since verified that SMS from Google works for at least onexox and Yes 5G.
The issue with Microsoft persists.

[WTA] Disposal of old acid battery

Hi all, recently I changed my car's acid battery at my local Toyota service center.
The staff of service center had left the used acid battery in my car and I completely forgot about it.
I just opened my car's boot and found that it is leaking all over the boot, so I removed the tray and cleaned it with water.
Now, I have a broken acid battery (some of its parts have fallen), how do I dispose it? Send it back to the service center or just simply throw it away?

Hi all! Recently I lost my iPhone and I already have enough of the pressure of using it (I'm kiasi).
So I've decided to get a cheap BB (May get Curve 9360) since the data plan cannot be terminated.

My question is: does anybody here have experience with this? You're currently subscribed to iDiGi plan but you want to use a BB.

Hi, my phone got stolen yesterday and I already made a police report.
Has anyone here met this problem and successfully terminated your contract with DiGi by showing them your police report?
I think the chance is very little, but hope to listen to good news!

Paypal refunding

Greetings,

I recently got refunded from various sellers through Paypal. My questions are:
(1) How does Paypal handle the refunded fund? In the transaction details, it states that the fund has been credited to my credit card. For your information, I'm not able to check my credit card balance (if there is any, I'm new to this). So how will I receive my money? Has anybody had experience with this kind of issue before?

(2) If your answer is positive to the first question, how long did it take before you received your refund? I'd like to have more information about it. Please elaborate if you will.
