house to house gas tank inspection?

just few minutes ago, a guy come and rang my door bell , when i go outside, he introduced himself as UGS, and states that he was tasked to conduct house to house inspection.

he has a authentication card hanging with him, with his name and picture, wearing a company uniform, well groomed, early 20s malay guy, however when i told them after living at the same house for over 20 years, i never had anyone to conduct these checks, he seems surprised to me and states that they conduct the checks twice a year.

unconvinced, i requested the company registration number from him, the full name of the company, name of his supervisor, whether he is linked with government and he failed to provide me with these details.

i just wanted to ask whether any of you experience/encountered this before?

my housing area is a guarded community, i also noticed they come in a team of 6-8 people, all wearing identification tags, wearing the same uniform.

maybe i'm skeptical or paranoid, but i just find it odd for someone wanted to conduct gas checks out of no where in a hot afternoon.

***I tried googled the said company (UGS from puchong) but nothing suggested a government linked gas company or such.

hi, today is my parent's 26th wedding anniversary, i'm planning to spend them on a good dinner, i would appreciate if you'll can suggest a few nice place for me.

area: Sunway/PJ/KL/Subang

food: halal local/western cuisine (dad cincai, mom prefer fish-not heavy eater)

So far I thought of manhattan fish market, TGIF, Chillis etc, but i realize that these places are quite common, so was looking for alternatives if possible

I do realize this is not serious kopitiam, however i do appreciate if no trolling are involved, i post here expecting to have faster, more response.
