Whats the best way to cure scars?

My first thread in lowyat actually. I will just keep it brief and simple - guys, whats the best way of curing eczema/mosquito bites scars? (non-surgical methods only please) Will you say that Palmer's Cocoa Butter Oil Therapy is relatively effective and good?

Lets say I go to a dermatologist and tell him about my problem, what do you think he'll recommend? (what kinda pills/cream do you think he'll probably recommend) I am about to start using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Oil Therapy and if like I feel that my scar appearance does not really improve after a certain period of time, I think I will just pay a visit to a dermatologist then. The reason why I am asking for non-surgical methods only is because I feel its abit too mafan and unnecessary to fork up the money to go through surgical procedures if creams/pills can be just as effective.

Please don't suggest all those grandmother methods such as put vinegar on your skin etc etc unless its like somewhat like of an 'agreed' thing/known fact. Thanks in advance!
