Receiving parcel from overseas

Hi guys, a friend wanted to send a gift from the US, usually he posts them to my home address which never had an issue before but recently I changed jobs and had to be on the run most of the time.

There's no one at home usually and figured whether if it's possible for him to send to a post office where I can pick up the parcel later. Never done this before so I'm not sure where to ask him to post the item to.

RAM Specification

Hi guys,

i've been looking to purchase additional RAM for my PC. Currently i have only 1 slot 8GB RAM

My motherboard is asrock h97 pro4.

The question is, from the image above it shows 800mhz, while in the website it shows

is it because my motherboard is dual channel that's why it's showing 800mhz? In any case, i'm also looking to upgrade my RAM but not sure which one to purchase as i've read several youtube videos that it's best to get the same brand with same mhz & voltage to ensure less problems. But looking at online i can't seem to find the same product to safely purchase the RAM for my PC.

Ear Clogged Up

Hi guys,

I've been doing a little bit of research and all these while I've been cleaning my ears with the ear buds, but recently today's radio mentioned that cleaning with ear buds have bad consequences which is generally not good.

After doing a little bit of googling I found out that it is indeed very risky to ear cleaning via ear buds and found out that there are 2 different approaches.

1st approach is not cleaning it entirely as when you shower and water goes in, the wax will generally come out.

2nd approach, you need to visit a ENT doctor to get it cleaned up where they will place some form of liquid into your ear to get it cleaned up? (Correct me if I'm wrong here)

My left is fine where the wax generally comes out by it's own especially showering, but my right ear refuses to come out by it's own. I'm thinking of visiting one ENT doctor for advice but do you guys do the same as well if you ears are clogged up by wax?

New Myvi vs Honda City Hybrid

Hi everyone,

Would like to seek your opinion as currently I'm weighing on 2 different options to purchase a car. I'm currently driving a 2014 myvi SE, in actual usage the mileage would be about 10-15k per year. I don't exactly drive a lot until my mom decided to use my car for Uber and it becomes 10-15k mileage per month lol.

Anyway, I've been looking into getting another car and I was looking between either myvi or city hybrid. Looking at the older topics, unless our petrol price goes up really high somewhere around rm4/5 per litre, you can only see good savings from there. I currently work in the heart of KL, so I'm hoping for some savings when it jams when going or returning back to work.

Otherwise over a 5 years span, the cost to save using a hybrid isn't justifiable. With the new myvi having so much features and an average of 17-20 km/L and a price tag of 55k? For the highest spec vs 92k Honda City Hybrid, which would be better?

My current Myvi seems to fit my family when I bring my grandparents out for dinner, but I can see sometimes they squeeze a little bit at the back plus being a 6 foot tall person, I tend to push the car to the back all the way in order for me to get comfortable driving.

Some questions I have would the city hybrid have bigger space than the new myvi? I heard of it being wider than the previous myvi and
Having more space would be fantastic to bring my family around for dinner in a more comfortable environment. Plus having air conditioning at the back would be a nice touch from hybrid. Woukd appreciate if anyone can give comments on which would be a better purchase. Thank you!

TLDR version:
- currently driving 2014 myvi
- car being used for Uber by mom, thinking of getting new car
- my usual driving range 10-15k per year
- usually have 5 people sitting in car when bringing family out for dinner
- having bigger space would be good but idk whether getting a city is better or not. Working in the heart of KL where jam is very apparent here.

Working out with ps4?

Hey guys, would like to get your opinion on this one, I was thinking of getting a PS4 camera as well as a dancing game to more or less work out while having fun. I find having to do exercises at times a little bit boring but trying out dancing games previously gave an objective like getting a good score.

However I was thinking whether would it work if it comes down to exercising? The reason I wanna get the camera as well is for VR in the future as well. If someone has the same setup, would like to know whether if it works out for you for exercising or would conventional exercising be much better?

Does anyone have the same thoughts and whether if this would work? Space isn't really an issue as my PS4 is located in a place where there's tons of space.

Issue with modem possibly?

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my internet connectivity currently. Hoping some sifu can give light to what is the current issue.

It happened yesterday and I notice that my router wasn't having any lights on it's lan connectivity. I use lan directly to my PC to all the ports weren't lit up.

I suspected the router is faulty at this point. I've tried replacing a brand new router, setup the router with my unifi ID and password, followed by trying PPoEE LLC and VC MUX, but to no avail however this time it detects the lan cable from the modem to the router but I still can't get any internet connectivity.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can trouble shoot this?

P.S. the old stock router is suspected dead cause I can't even access the old router typing the default gateway in.

Temperature when playing AAA games

Hi guys,

Ever since my last card got fried I think, I started to look at temperatures a little bit more than before. As of now with max settings on AAA games that I tested on Mass effect Andromeda,

My CPU goes up to a little over 80c and GPU is about 75ish when max load.

I'd just like to know whether if this is normal? As I heard quite a number of people stating that it should be below 80 or 70 if possible to prolong the life of the hardware.

GTX 1060 question

Hi guys, my graphic card is suspected faulty ever since it kinda died on me yesterday, not able to output sound via HDMI and I get gibberish screens also at times.

I'm thinking of replacing it with GTX1060 6GB variant. Are there any recommendations and whether a 550 Corsair PSU and ASRock h97 pro 4 motherboard could fit it in without any issues?

Hi guys, I have a leadtek 760 for about 3 years now I think. Halfway when I was playing my game, the whole screen just went off.

It was the first time it ever happened so I believe my graphic card might be dying.

First and foremost, I've confirmed its not my monitor nor HDMI that's causing the issue as I have my PS4 hooked up to the same monitor and it outputs sound and display perfectly.

However when I startup my computer I started noticing numbers on my bios screen. Like a half a digit 0, my display from 1920*1080 became 1024*768.

Upon choosing the properties of a screen resolution, it shows default PnP display rather than my GTX 760. I've tried reinstalling drivers but it doesn't work at all. My audio doesn't play as well for some reason and my Dell display manager failed as it says it needs a compatible card.

Does it sounds like it's time to Change cards?

High ping to singapore servers

i'd like to ask whether if anyone using unifi is facing concerns with pinging to Singapore? it has been quite sometime now and quite frustrated that with Singapore being so near, pinging them also gets me 200ms. I play games using pingzapper currently to reduce my ping from a 200-300ms to a whopping 50-80ms. Would be great to know if anyone faces the same issue as well.

i'm using unifi 50mbps at the moment.

i have a few questions which i've listed down below.

for Pendapatan berkanun penggajian, do i add my bonus in together here? or would bonus be considered in "Pendapatan berkanun faedah, diskaun, royalti, premium, pencen, anuiti, bayaran berkala lain dan apa-apa perolehan atau keuntungan lain" ?

and seeing that the KWSP is under Insurans nyawa dan KWSP which is left blank, i'm guessing i need to add both my insurance and KWSP on my EA form to sum it up?

[WTA] Unifi name change & New setup

Hi guys,

currently i'm subscribed to unifi 20mbps and have been using for quite sometime, probably 3 years+ i guess. Currently i'm moving out to another house, however i do not wish to terminate the current line that i have for the people that are still staying in the house.

Therefore would it be possible to do the following?

Change ownership of current account to another family member however retains all equipment that is currently there.

As I have a free movement 1 time from unifi based on my contract, would it be possible if i then tell them that I'm moving to another location and instead install the unifi there?
