I Want The Android Market!. PLS HELP

Ok I don't really know what to do to get the Android Market in my HTC Hero. I isn't installed when I bought it.
Also I've seen most of the people here actually already have them, please, I need some help. Also if you're going to tell me how, tell it in Steps form.

E.G : Steps 1 : bla bla
Steps 2 : bla bla

(yeah I'm a newb at all this stuff)

So... I just want to know your suggestion of what I'm going to do with the Android Market in Malaysia. Yeah I know it isn't in my HTC Hero. So here goes

First im going to root my phone refering to ->

Technically, I will root it then download the market enabler
So is this the right thing to do to get the android market? Reply pls. ( I'm a newb at all this stuff but I really need the market. Been using SlideMe, kinda boring)
