The Vertex 4 is just over a year old but thanks to its recent firmware update (1.5), it still manages to perform almost on a par with the best drives currently available. How to access XFS drive fr Buffalo Linkstation Duo

I have two 2TB drive installed in my Linkstation Duo and I do not use the RAID fuction of the Linkstation. Yesterday i lost access to one of the drive. The system gave message that the drive have a lot of bad sector. I don't know how to fix it using the Linkstation and anyway I can't access thru it.

The drive is formatted to XFS. I tried accessing thru Win7 but it cannot read the drive and ask it to be formatted.

I've tried accessing thru Ubuntu Live CD but it's also not shown in the 'Home Folder'.

Can anyone help coz I'm not familiar with Linux/Ubuntu.

I would really appreciate any help to access the drive as there's a lot of photos and other data's on the drive.

I'm willing to go to your place if u can help me access the drive.

Can you guys/gals pls post your SDHC or other format memory card speed result using CrystalDiskMark 3.0. It's a freeware.

And other people can benefit from this by using it as a reference when buying SDHC or other types of memory card.
