Let say got two properties with almost same size and price in the same area. One with commercial title and another with residential title.

Will there be a big difference in the rate of quit rent and assessment fee for both types of title? Will it be 10%, 20% extra for commercial?

Money Vs prospect

I was recently offered with a position or title that i have no experience in and it is the position that i want to be since years ago. I'm working in IT field since 2009 and I had been starting as consultant to Senior consultant. I got the senior post since 2015 and didn't get any promotion even though I had been jumping from company to company ever since. Anyway, i still get pay raise for those jump.

Last December I rejoined back a company that I left a few years ago in a mission to help them grow in coming years. I felt that I still got some unfinished business back then. So it is some sort of mission for myself. I'm grateful that the management can offer me the salary that I asked that time.

Few months down the road, I'm ok with my current job but wondering whether I should go for bigger company as I'm working with a small vendor environment now. It is a Sg based company but I'm paid in MYR.

So I went to test the market for my skills and I went for interview for a Malaysian based vendor. I got offered today after 2 rounds of interviews. The position is Solution Architect and the basic offered lower than what I'm earning now as senior consultant. However with allowance after confirmation, the total will be slightly higher than what I'm getting now.

A bit of dilemma now as this seems like a breakthrough in my career in moving up the ladder but in the same time, look like a step down from financial perspective. Again, in the same time, as mentioned earlier, one of the reasons I'm coming back is to help the company to grow in coming years. Sound a bit silly I guess but that's my decision last time.

With current pandemic situation, is it ok to jump? Especially from small to big company. Current environment is OK and quite comfortable to me as I know how they all work. Will the new title and new company good enough to swing my decision? Or should i wait for few more months or even years?

Need Advice - Test PCIE slot and Wireless Adapter

Hi all,

recently I bought a wireless adapter modeled Asus Pce-AX58BT. When I installed it in my PCIE x1 slot, it seems to be not detectable. The card also got another cable connection to USB pin in the motherboard but I tested that pin should be working as it is used all the while.

How can I test whether it is the PCIE slow got problem or the card got problem?

This is a PCIE x1 slot right? Thanks in advance for all the advices.

Big Company Benefit

Hi all,

want to ask something... I had been working with start up or small companies since I graduated till now (almost 11 years). Recently, got an offer from a MNC with average of 10% increment from what I am earning now (from basic to allowance) plus a lot of health related benefits. I'm still in the mid of negotiating a slight increase of the offer so that I can tell my current company, it is something that I can't resist.

Other reasons I want to make a jump are:
1. no go big company before, would like to know how it feel like
2. the job scope is what I had been dreaming of for year even though my current job doesn't suck either but kinda getting boring sometimes.
3. without managerial experience, I feel that I might be stuck at implementation and technical part forever with current size of the team in the company. would like to learn more on how to interact with more people in a big organization.
4. the bonus kinda tempting as I never get such big amount before.

OR should I stay in current company which I personally do not have any complain except on the not so much challenge part.

LAD Claims

Hi all,

My SnP written the house purchase price is 688k but developer count the LAD amount that they should pay with base of 638k after all the rebates. While the SnP written that SnP should be calculated based on purchase price.

After give them a few calls and a letter, they insisted to calculated it based on 638k and tell me: we already give rebate, apa lagi lu mao?

This make me more with this kind of reply.

688k vs 638k LAD will result in different of 1k plus. To many people, that is not so much money but I feel I want to claim the money in correct amount. If no, why developer can not to honor the SnP but we purchaser will be the one punished when we no follow rules in SnP?

If take the case to tribunal, what is the chance of them honoring / paying it in the end?
