GPU price discussion

With the recent news that a the new Nvidia gpu might finally be launching soon (Next-gen Nvidia), how do you think prices of GPUs will move?

As of late, prices have been coming down but they are still inflated somewhat, more so for AMD cards as they are still loved by miners.

For those looking to upgrade / replace their cards, unless you have deep pockets buying the new soon-to-launch Nvidia gpu (if you can even get one) is going to be very very expensive.

Should we then buy old tech where the used price now is quite close to the launch price years ago? (What has the world come to ). Noticed even those miners off loading their cards at prices equivalent to those used for gaming (F**king miners).

Exit opportunities from accounting

Hi all,

I have been in the accounting field for the past 3 years. I just got my degree (2nd lowers) from the ACCA partner program with Oxford Brookes last year. Still have my Part 3 papers to go (5 papers total).
I have never joined the Big4. I started out in commercial firms, MNCs.

I now wish to get out from accounting, for a more challenging, faster paced and rewarding job. Salary is not a concern for me. I just want a a good job experience.

I have been looking to get into [1st choice] investment management (IM), but as my experience have already told me, it is not easy to get in with my current qualification (I know that I am not a top student)
I have a friend who is working in IM but his workplace has no opening at the moment.
Then I tried [2nd choice] Corporate Finance (CF) in banks, same thing. Unsuccessful. I believe they want top students as well.

For all the positions that I have tried, I was never even called up for an interview (both IM and CF).

My last resort, is to try CF in the Big4. I have many friends in the Big4, and from what I have heard, they are always in the need for people. So my chances are higher there, but experience maybe not as good as working in banks? Can anyone clarify this?

Can one move from CF to IM?

Perhaps I should do CFA instead ACCA?

Feel free to comment and criticise, I can take it. As long it gets me the job I want.

Thank you.
