Problems with Bad tenants

for instance, landlords are powerless against tenants that dont pay rent, are abusive, or just plain unreasonable, not willing to talk and all...

how do we counter that? do we let them go and terrorise other landlords? justice takes too long IMHO, especially if what they do sometimes are not illegal but are just not right and plain wrong.

how about name and shame?

just bought this book, pretty good and informative, a lot of information on brands as well as bespoke traditions... not too expensive for a hardcover, fully illustrated, full colored book. available at your local MPH or popular. =)

a great companion for those who wants to look stylish without being poseur... =P

from this event and another last sunday

It was a rainy sunday, which somehow translated to a very productive workshop, the participants were very attentive and it was fun showing the different techniques. I think everybody went home with a few prints thats good enough to frame. =)

Anyways, on to the pictures.

Alternative Photography Workshop: Digital Negative

Continuing with the workshop on Alternative Photography; this workshop will touch on Digital Negatives and Salt prints. Salt prints is one of the earlier photographic process from 160+ years ago. This workshop will introduce neophytes to a 160+ year old analog technology and marrying it with current digital technology. No darkroom knowledge is needed, just a keen interest and an open mind.

Date, Location:
Sunday, 30th August 2009.
Studio 807, Unit 807, The Ampwalk, Jalan Ampang (Opposite Su Casa apartment)
Time: 9am
Duration: 6 hours.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Participants of this workshop will:
- make and calibrate their own digital negatives
- learn how to safely prepare a salt print
- mix and coat silver nitrate to fibre paper
- tone and bleach your prints

Participants are encouraged to bring their own digital image or medium/large format negatives to see how a familiar image looks like with salt prints.

Fees: RM150.00 per participant; limited to 15 participant, so first come first serve!

Please deposit RM80 to secure a slot, with the balance on the day itself. SMS me at 016-6777729 for payment details.
